Smaran Ravichandran has been named as the replacement for Adam Zampa. Smaran made his domestic debut last year and has performed exceptionally in all three formats. The 21-year-old, left-handed batsman has played 7 First-Class matches, 10 List A, and 6 T20 matches for Karnataka. He has joined SRH for INR 30 Lakh for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season.
Smaran played really well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024-25 season. The southpaw made 170 runs at 34 in 6 matches. Although he hit just one half-century, the left-handed batter struck at 170 for Karnataka. He was also previously called by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in March, a couple of days before the beginning of the IPL 2025 season. But things didn’t work out as Smaran expected. Luckily, he’s found himself at SRH and will get his first experience in the league.
