Mitchell Starc was named the Player of the Match for picking up the maiden five-wicket haul of the season. The Australian pacer sealed the victory for the Capitals with his magical spell in the first innings. Starc dismissed Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the powerplay. He came on to bowl his final over at the fag end of the innings and dismissed Wiaan Mulder and Harshal Patel to complete his fifer.

Kuldeep Yadav once again continued his fine form at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The left-arm wrist spinner picked up crucial wickets. He bowled with immense control giving away only 22 runs in his four overs. Kuldeep picked up wickets of Aniket Verma, Abhinav Manohar, and Pat Cummins.
Faf du Plessis scored a fine half-century in the second innings and led the Delhi Capitals batting unit to a great win. The South African batter opening the innings scored 50 runs in only 27 balls. He smashed three fours and three sixes and struck at a rate of 185.19.
The destructive batting unit of Sunrisers Hyderabad had another off night. However, Aniket Verma was the sole shining star for the visitors with the bat in hand. The young batting star scored 74 runs in only 41 balls. He smashed five fours and six sixes in the innings.
Zeeshan Ansari making his debut in the Indian Premier League was the best bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He took all three wickets for the visitors. Ansari’s scalps included Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, and KL Rahul. Even though the young leg-spinner went for 42 runs in his four overs, he created the most impact for SRH with the ball in hand.

Faf du Plessis was the top scorer for Delhi Capitals in the second innings. The former South African batter scored his first half-century in the season. His opening partner, Jake Fraser-McGurk too played a great supporting role scoring 38 runs in 32 balls. Abhishek Porel batting at number three sealed the win for the Capitals with an unbeaten knock of 34 runs.
For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Zeeshan Ansari was the lone wicket-taker. The young leg-spinner took three wickets albeit was expensive in the four overs he bowled. Harshal Patel in spite of being wicketless showed great control and conceded only 17 runs in three overs he bowled in the innings.
