IPL 2025: KKR vs LSG rescheduled to be played on 8th April instead of 6th

Being the home of the Knight Riders it is natural that they enjoy a lot of support at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium, However, even the Lucknow Super Giants is a fav favorite in the city. LSG is owned by the RPSG, which is the same company that also owns Mohun Bagan Super Giant Football Club. It is the biggest football club in India and is highly popular in Kolkata. 

In the past, LSG has donned a special kit against Kolkata Knight Riders. The kit is totally different from their regular kit and is inspired by the Mohun Bagan Super Giants jersey. There were talks of the fixture being moved to the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

The Eden Gardens’ pitch curator and KKR skipper, Ajinkya Rahane has been at a standoff for the last couple of days. Rahane had talked publicly about how KKR wanted a spinning pitch at the venue. The pitch curator in reply reclaimed his stand at not changing the pitch at the request of the skipper of the franchise. Reacting to the controversy, Simon Doull on Cricbuzz advised that the Knight Riders should move their home venue to get the pitch that they want.
