Sunrisers Hyderabad have not shown any improvement in the recent matches, having won just one out of their five matches. They won a single game against Punjab Kings all thanks to the individual brilliance of Abhishek Sharma who scored 141 runs off just 55 balls. Mumbai Indians, in contrast, have shown improvement in all fields, especially in the batting department. They have won the last three matches in a row proving their power.
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, has been the host for 82 IPL matches. Most of the matches played here were won by the team batting second due to their high scoring and batting-friendly nature. The team batting second has found it easy to chase the target in 45 out of 82 matches. The average first inning score is 166 runs on this ground however, the par score is 190 runs, which teams have to cross to stand a chance to win the match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians have been involved in a total of 24 head-to-head IPL matches against each other. Mumbai Indians hold the honor of winning 14 matches out of 24 matches, while Hyderabad could only win 10 matches against Mumbai. In IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians won the first fixture between these two teams by 4 wickets. Will Jacks was the man of the match in that match.

Suryakumar Yadav has scored 48 runs off 43 balls against Pat Cummins, with 4 fours and 3 sixes. He’s been dismissed 3 times, with a strike rate of 111.6 and an average of 16.
Abhishek Sharma has 17 runs in 23 balls against Jasprit Bumrah. He’s been out twice and hit just one four, striking at 73.9. Bumrah clearly has the edge.
Rohit Sharma has 40 runs from 33 balls vs Pat Cummins with 4 sixes, but he’s been dismissed 4 times. His average is only 10, Pat Cummins has kept him in check.
Travis Head was the most dangerous batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last season, but he had a mixed performance this season. His best inning was against Rajasthan in the first match, where he scored 67 runs, and his second-best came against Punjab Kings in the sixth match. He hasn’t scored big in the other matches, but he is aggressive and has a good record against the Mumbai Indians.
Pat Cummins has been leading from the front with the ball. He has done everything in his control to try and win matches for his team, however his all efforts look short against the poor performances of his batting unit. He picked up 3/26 in the last match against Mumbai Indians while he has done well in the batting with cameos like his 22* against GT.
Hardik Pandya has been the game changer for Mumbai Indians with the bat and ball in hand. He has scored quickfire runs. He often scores between 20-40, but scores them quickly and effectively. He recently scored 45 off just 15 against RCB and 28 off 16 against Lucknow Super Giants. He took five wickets in the same match against LSG to deliver a top all-round show.
Surya has been in great touch lately. His 68* against CSK was classy and quick. He also played a sublime inning of 67 against Lucknow Super Giants however Mumbai Indians lost that match but Surykumar Yadav is scoring continuous runs in this season. He is the main man for the Mumbai Indians in the batting department.
Ryan Rickelton has done well as an opener for MI. He has been consistent with his 20+ scores to help his team have a good start at the top. His best came against Kolkata Knight Riders, where he scored 62* to chase down 117 runs in just 12.2 overs. He has done well with the gloves as well, with a few catches and stumpings, proving his worth in both roles.
Ishan Kishan has struggled with form this season. His scores have been low recently. He scored 106 runs in the first match of the season but after that he could not ever score a collective 106 runs in the next six innings he played. He’s known for explosive starts so SRH will be hoping for that in this match.
Jaydev Unadkat and Robin Minz were both listed in the impact players list however, SRH used Rahul Chahar as their impact player in the last match, while Mumbai Indians are using Rohit Sharma as their regular impact player, so there is no chance for Robin Minz to make it to the playing 11. You should avoid such players in your Dream 11 teams.
