10:32 PM: SRH ahead of the chase at the halfway stage

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at 143/0 after 10 overs. Need 103 runs in 60 balls. Head: 49* (29), Abhishek: 87* (32)

The Sunrisers Hyderabad are making a mockery of this chase. Abhishek Sharma scored 20 runs off the 10th over by Marco Jansen. There were two dot balls in the over and the rest of the four balls were boundaries.

10:17 PM: Can Travi-Shek do the seemingly impossible?

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at 93/0 after 7 overs. Need 153 runs in 13 overs. Head: 30* (21), Abhishek: 56* (22)

While a larger target has been chased successfully before in the IPL, chasing this down will certainly be one of the best performances in the IPL. Abhishek Sharma has already raced to his fifty and would be looking to convert it into a triple-digit score.

10:11 PM: A great powerplay for the hosts

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at 83/0 after 6 overs. Need 163 runs in 14 overs. Head: 28* (19), Abhishek: 49* (18)

Lockie Ferguson bowling the final over of the powerplay injured himself while bowling the second ball of the over. It seems like he has injured his left quad muscle and even walked off the field. Marcus Stoinis had to bowl the remaining four balls and finish the over.

9:58 PM: Yash provides Abhishek a second life

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at 60/0 after 4 overs. Need 187 runs in 16 overs. Head: 22* (14), Abhishek: 35* (11)

Abhishek Sharma has been provided with a life from Yash Thakur. The pacer came into the game as an impact sub and had almost got the better of the Indian opener and dismissed him but it turned out to be a front-foot no-ball from the pacer.

9:49 PM: Travi-Shek gets going!

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at 40/0 after 3 overs. Need 206 runs in 17 overs. Head: 22* (13), Abhishek: 18* (5)

9:44 PM: Contrasting starts for Abhishek and Travis

Sunrisers Hyderabad are at 28/0 after 2 overs. Need 218 runs in 18 overs. Head: 10* (7), Abhishek: 18* (5)

Abhishek Sharma has started his knock on a great note. He struck four fours in the second over against Marco Jansen in the second over.

Travis Head started his innings in an unfamiliar fashion. The Australian left-handed left the first ball alone before smashing a couple of fours in the first overs against Arsheep Singh in the first over.

8:52 PM: Harshal Patel gets his second

Punjab Kings are at 177/4 after 15 overs. Shreyas: 57* (26), Maxwell: 1* (3)

Harshal Patel has picked up his second wicket of the match. He trapped Shashank Singh in front of the stumps. While the on-field umpire gave it not out a successful review from the hosts meant that the decision had to be overturned.

8:45 PM: Eshan Malinga gets his second

Punjab Kings are at 168/3 after 14 overs. Shreyas: 54* (24), Shashank: 2* (2)

Eshan Malinga’s debut continues to get better. After picking up his maiden wicket, the Sri Lankan pacer dismissed by trapping Nehal Wadhera in front of the stumps. However, he was a bit lucky as the ball tracking showed the ball to be missing the off stump.

8:38 PM: Shreyas races to a 22-ball fifty

Punjab Kings are at 160/2 after 13 overs. Shreyas: 53* (23), Wadhera: 23* (19)

Shreyas Iyer completed his fifty off 22 deliveries only. It is his fastest fifty in the history of the Indian Premier League.

8:32 PM: Shreyas eyeing a fifty

Punjab Kings are at 149/2 after 12 overs. Shreyas: 48* (21), Wadhera: 17* (15)

8:23 PM: PBKS ahead at the halfway stage

Punjab Kings are at 120/2 after 10 overs. Shreyas: 24* (13), Wadhera: 13* (11)

In spite of losing the two hard-hitting openers, PBKS has maintained a run rate of 12 runs per over. Both Shreyas Iyer and Nehal Wadehra have been in great form in the season and can certainly amp up the rate if they get set.

8:12 PM: Eshan Malinga shines on his debut

Punjab Kings are at 92/2 after 7 overs. Shreyas: 10* (5), Wadhera: 1* (1)

Eshan Malinga making his debut in the IPL has struck in his first over by dismissing Prabhsimran Singh.

8:03 PM: PBKS controls the powerplay

Punjab Kings are at 89/1 after 6 overs. Prabhsimran: 41* (20), Shreyas: 9* (3)

The visitors have started the match on the best note possible. Shreyas Iyer opted to bat first after winning the toss and has received great backing from his two opening batters. The pitch is looking pretty flat so PBKS would want to continue this momentum.

7:52 PM: Finally some respite for the Sunrisers

Punjab Kings are at 66/1 after 4 overs. Prabhsimran: 28* (11)

The PBKS openers have absolutely lit up the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Both the young batters look in great touch and will be keeping an eye on reaching their respective fifties. Shami after bowling a 14-run over to start the game was once again taken to the cleaners as he conceded 23 runs in his second. Harshal Patel came into the attack to bowl the fourth over and picked up the first wicket of the match by dismissing Priyansh Arya after conceding 13 runs off his first five balls.

7:40 PM: PBKS off to a flier!

Punjab Kings are at 30/0 after 2 overs. Priyansh: 12* (5), Prabhsimran: 17* (7)

The rookie opening batters from Punjab Kings have treated the batting experienced international bowling duo of Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami with absolute disdain. Prabhsimran Singh smashed three fours on the trot to end the first over from Shami. Priyansh Arya after scoring a century in the previous game struck a six and a four against Pat Cummins.
