M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru Overview

Located in the middle of the city of Bengaluru, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium foundation was laid down in 1969. Previously known as Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium it is now renamed after the former BCCI president, Mangalam Chinnaswamy. With a 40,000 seating capacity, M Chinnaswamy Stadium is one of the most renowned stadiums in the country.  Currently, Jacintha Kalyan is the curator of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. She is the very first female pitch curator in India responsible for Bengaluru's cricket stadium. The home ground of the state’s Karnataka Cricket team, M Chinnaswamy, is also home to the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
