Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma were the three players who have slotted in Grade A and given the highest annual contract worth INR 50 lakh. The validity of the contracts will remain from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
The contract list of Grade B, with an INR 30 lakh annual salary, no longer involves left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad. However, middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues, pacer Renuka Thakur, wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh, and opener Shafali Verma remain in this category.
The Grade C of the contract list includes fast bowler Titas Sadhu, all-rounders Shreyanka Patli, Amanjot Kaur, Arundhati Reddy, and wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry, and all these players have received their first central contracts for the 2024-25 season from BCCI.

There have been several changes in Grade C, with just four players being retained in their contracts. New additions include Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, and Uma Chetry, while Devika Vaidya, Meghna Singh, S Meghana, and Harleen Deol were left out of the 16-player list.
Except for Harleen, players including Pratika Rawal, Priya Mishra, and Saima Thakur have their good account in the ODIs ahead of the World Cup and in the WPL recently and impressed India by their outstanding performance.
The Indian women’s team will next compete in a tri-series against Sri Lanka and South Africa in late April as they prepare for the home ODI World Cup. Team India, finishing second in the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, is currently focusing on the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, which will be hosted at home later this year.
