DPL 2025 All Teams 

This time, the number of teams in the Delhi Premium League will be seen to be 8 instead of 6, whereas last time there were 6 teams; this time, the total number of teams has been increased by adding two new teams, which are listed below.

  • North Delhi Strikers

  • Central Delhi Kings

  • Purani Dilli 6

  • West Delhi Lions

  • East Delhi Riders

  • South Delhi Superstarz 

  • Outer Delhi Warriors

  • New Delhi Tigers

Player Category and Price Band

Four different categories contain all 520 players available for the DPL 2025 auction. These categories will be based on experience and stature, which are given below:

Marquee Set (19 Players): 

This category will have international players or those players who have good IPL experience. The price cap for this category to retain a player is 21 lakhs. Every team can choose at least one and at most two players from this category during the DPL 2025 auction.

Category A (35 Players):

Category A includes former IPL players and top performances of DDCA’s first-class teams. Its price cap to retain a player is 10 Lakhs, and every team will have to select at least 2 players and a maximum of 4 players from this category in the auction.

Category B (105 Players)

Category B will mostly have those young, talented players who have performed brilliantly in the Under-16, Under-19 and Under-23 levels. The price of this category to retain a player is 4.50 lakhs, and during the DPL 2025 auction, every team can choose at least 6 and at most 10 players from this category.

Category C (361 Players)

This category includes players who have performed well in local tournaments and zonal T20 competitions in Delhi. The price cap to retain a player in this category is 1.5 lakh. A team can take a minimum of 8 and a maximum of nine players from this category in the auction.

Before the Delhi Premium League 2025 auction, all the teams were given a chance to retain one player each, while the two new teams included in the league were given a chance to first select one player each through the draft. Moreover, during the auction, six teams from last year will have the right to use one RTM card on categories A, B and C; however, RTM cards will not be available for the newly added teams.

As expected the stars of IPL 2025 will be bought at good prices in DPL 2025 as well. While Simarjeet Singh, Nitish Rana, Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi were expected to get good prices, Mayank Rawat, Sujal Singh, Money Grewal, Mayank Gusain, and Yajas Sharma also surprised everyone by getting good prices in the auction. Pankaj Jaiswal and Rajneesh Dadar also surprised everyone by getting huge amounts in the final stages of the auction and were bought by the New Delhi Tigers and Purani Dilli 6.
