The third season of the tournament will commence from 26th May, 2025 and the final will take place at the Wankhede Stadium on 8th June, 2025. As of now all the matches will take place at the historic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The proper schedule of the tournament hasn’t been announced yet.
The mega auction of the T20 Mumbai League was last held six years ago and this time the auction was held on 7th, May. A total of 280 players registered for the auction. The eight teams combined have spent a total Rs 7.79 crore with a balanced squad of 18 members each. Each and every squad has a mix of experienced players as well as an exuberance of youth. Atharva Ankolkar was the highest paid player for Rs 16.25 lakhs.
Musheer Khan of ARCS Andheri and Sairaj Patil of the Eagle Thane Strikers were also paid hefty prices for Rs 15 lakhs. Ayush Mhatre who impressed the world by his clean striking playing for CSK has also gone for a higher price of Rs 14.75 lakh. KKR young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi also went for a hefty price of Rs 14 lakh. Mumbai all rounder Shams Mulani also went for a decent price Rs 14 lakhs. In the T20 Mumbai League there is a development players pool where young raw talents are picked. Akash Parkar got the highest bid from this pool as he went for Rs 11.25 lakh.

Eagle Thane Strikers have bagged the young all-rounder Atharva Ankolekar for Rs 16.25 lakh and he is the most expensive player in the Mumbai T20 League. Having played the ACC Under 19 Asia Cup for India, there too he has performed exceedingly well therefore the talent is there for him to progress and hopefully the price tag will not bring the pressure on this young kid.
Triumph Knights Mumbai North East have bagged the young batter Ayush Mahtre for Rs 14.75 lakh. Ayush is in the headlines while playing for CSK. The young batter from Mumbai has provided the much needed impetus to CSK’s batting. Recently Ayush has scored a brilliant innings of 94 against RCB and almost took CSK home. He showed excellent temperament at this age in the biggest tournament of the world.
The young batter from Mumbai is picked by Sobo Mumbai Falcons.He has already showcased his talent in previous year’s IPL for KKR. KKR’s Assistant coach Abhishek Nayar has worked closely with Raghuvanshi and talks highly about him. Angkrish played in the 2022 under 19 world cup and he was the highest run getter of the tournament. He scored 278 runs from six innings. This year too, the youngster is performing really well as he is the second highest run getter for KKR under the skipper Ajinkya Rahane.
Musheer brother of Sarfaraz Khan is rooped by Eagle Thane Strikers. He is one of the great talents of Indian cricket. He is making headlines by his all round abilities. Musheer performed brilliantly for Mumbai at the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy where he piled on loads of runs. He scored 433 runs with a superb average of 108.25. In the final of the Ranji Trophy he scored a match defining century for Mumbai.
Sairaj is one of the explosive young talents of Mumbai. He is signed by Eagle Thane Strikers. He has recently hit the fastest century at the Thane Premier League. His explosive hitting will work wonders for Eagle Thane Strikers.
Suryansh Shedge was taken by Triumph Knights Mumbai Northeast in the recently concluded auction. He plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL, Suryansh is a great fan of Virat Kohli and he wants to follow his idol’s footsteps in the near future.
Hardik is taken by Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs in the auction. Hardik is an integral part of Mumbai’s Ranji team. The wicketkeeping batsman has recently shown tremendous grit and determination when he scored a century after wicketkeeping for 110 overs.
The 2018 edition of the league was won by Triumph Knights Mumbai North East where they beat the Shivaji Park Lions by 3 runs. And in the 2019 edition North Mumbai Panthers won the tournament by beating the Sobo Super Sonnics by the slightest margin. Prithvi Shaw played brilliantly and scored an unbeaten 61 for North Mumbai Panthers. The tournament is growing from strength to strength and more young talents are coming out so it is becoming more and more competitive. India and Mumbai stars are encouraging these talents to showcase their ability on a larger scale.
