The most successful skipper of the Yellow Army, Chennai Super Kings would undoubtably be Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been leading this franchise side since the very first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008. The Thalai of Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni has even won the joint most five trophies in this cash rich league tournament. Along with, CSK, MI is the team with same number of IPL titles.
After CSK’s last win over GT in their last league match of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, Mahi Bhai was asked about his future with the Yellow Army as a player and as a skipper by Harsha Bhogle, the famous and well known cricket commentator and broadcaster. In reply, Dhoni told Mr Bhogle that he will take time and decide on his return to the TATA IPL in 2026. Mahi will take more four to five months to decide about his plans. Every year, he puts 15 percent of an extra effort to keep his body fit especially when he is playing a professional league cricket like the Indian Premier League. As a player, you need to give your best. MS also added that, players form shouldn’t be counted always and if you look at that perspective, a player who is just 22 and out of form might retire early.
