The SoBo Mumbai Falcons are one of the founding teams of the T20 Mumbai League, introduced in 2018 by the Mumbai Cricket Association to promote grassroots-level cricket in the city. The franchise symbolizes the fierce cricketing spirit of South Mumbai, an area historically associated with producing top-class cricketers.

The team is owned and operated by a group of private stakeholders and has continually emphasized player development and tactical cricket. The Falcons first took flight in 2019 and have since developed a loyal local fan base. Their journey in the tournament so far has been marked by steady growth, a strong commitment to grooming young cricketers, and a team-first ethos.

Despite not having lifted the title yet, the Falcons have made a name for themselves as a disciplined and tactically sharp team. SoBo Mumbai Falcons T20 League Mumbai Journey

Heading into the 2025 edition, this will be the third season of the T20 Mumbai League. SoBo Mumbai Falcons have showcased signs of growth over the last two editions but are still chasing their first piece of silverware.

In their maiden season in 2019, the Falcons reached the final of the T20 Mumbai League where they were handed the defeat. In their next season in 2023 as well, the Falcons made it to yet another final but once again came out on the losing side. Hence,  it’ll be interesting to see how the team fares in their third attempt.

1. Bhupen Lalwani (2023)

2. Shreyas Iyer (2025) 

While, the SoBo Mumbai Falcons representing the Southern Bombay area won’t have had much of an history heading into the 2025 season, this year they have much room for excitement and optimism as one of the top superstars of Indian Cricket, brings a lot of fanfare and eyeballs to the T20 Mumbai League. Hence his participation is great news for the SoBo Mumbai Falcons. 

3. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (2025)

Much like Shreyas Iyer, another top player the SoBo Mumbai Falcons have in their ranks is star Kolkata Knight Riders batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been impressive of late with his domestic form and has also impressed in his performances with the Kolkata Knight Riders. It will be interesting to see how this new core gels together as SoBo looks for their maiden T20 Mumbai League triumph. 

4. Atif Attarwala (2019–2023)

On June 5, they will play North Mumbai Panthers at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai to kick off their season. At the Wankhede Stadium, the action continues with a doubleheader weekend against Eagle Thane Strikers on June 7 and Triumph Knights MNE on June 6. On June 8, under the Wankhede lights, they will play a crucial match against Aakash Tigers MWS to complete their league stage schedule. The Falcons will look to rule the league with their blistering squad, so keep an eye out for exciting performances.
