Know about Sahiba Bali’s background

Sahiba Bali, is a 30 year old young woman, who is half Kashmiri and half Punjabi, who was born in Kolkata. She has been raised in a versatile culture, gaining values and traditional practices from different places and has respect for all beings, irrespective of their caste and culture. She spent early childhood in Indonesia. However, after a span of some years, she came to the capital city, New Delhi to complete her schooling. Then, she got into one of the most prestigious universities of the country, Delhi University to complete her bachelors degree.

Being a brilliant student, she decided to pursue her Masters degree in marketing and from the Oxford University. She always had an ambition to become a business woman, and in awe of it, she decided to pursue an extra course in marketing from Oxford. Sahiba always had an aim to be an entrepreneur and wanted to start her own firm and become one of the leading business woman of the country. She moved from London, back to Mumbai and start her own career.

Sahiba was an only child, without any sibling. She was born in a family, where one parents was a banker and other  was a production-house director. In an interview, she said that she had to excel in studies, because of the family pressure and had no other way. Like any other growing teenager, who wants to excel in different fields, she had a lot of hobbies like Bharatnatyam, jazz, debating and theatre. She had to balance a lot of things, and do well in studies too!

Being such a multi tasker, who wanted to be the master of all fields, she decided to add another task into the bucket, and that became her career, acting. She was a part of various debates and theatre competitions, throughout her life. It helped her to take acting as a profession. However, like any other profession, she had to face a lot of rejection and criticism during different rounds of auditions. She was facing a hardship, when she did not get a lot of opportunities as an actress, she decided to take a part time job in marketing.

Sports presenter is not just a profession, but a responsibility to carry picture of other players by getting into a good bond with them. Sahiba Bali, who started as a content creator and made some reels. She wanted to be an actress and reach out to most of the people through her skills, and made most of it.

Sahiba had a passion for cricket and good choice of words to present her thoughts, so she entered this field. She was called as a lucky mascot for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2025 season. It somehow proved to be true, because the team entered the finals of the season. Getting into this field, she made a lot of new friends and connections, which helped her to make a name for her here! The Punjab Kings Instagram page received so much of love, after they got their new host, Sahiba Bali engaging with team players and helping people to know more about their superheroes! She had particularly been famous for her segment “Kandid with the kings.”

She did not only work with Punjab Kings, but also with other teams like KKR and RR, where she hosted a talk show with Sanju Samson.  After being a part of the IPL season, Sahiba had the opportunity to work with one of the biggest names of sports networks, Star Sports. At first, she was quite hesitant and did not know whether to go with it or not. However, she got the chance to be trained under Star Sports where she went under a set of rigorous auditions and including live broadcasting and interview tests to reach where she is now. Out of all the interactions she participated in, one with Mitchell Starc remains the most favourite. She’s not currently a part of the India vs England test series. However, she’s yet to leave her impression as another famous journalist, Sanjana Ganesan.

Sahiba always had something in her that pushed her to push all the boundaries and reach her highest version. Starting off as a really bright student, she first tried to have her own startup. However, she wanted to get some prior experience to learn more about this format. So, that’s when she got her first big job, which was brand manager for Zomato. Her good skills and experience there helped her move to the next big thing, becoming an associate director at Unacademy, and working as a part time content creator.

Her journey took a sharp U-turn and she was finally getting to where she wanted. She ended up being a host at one of the most favourite shows of Gen-Z, the Sharktank season 4 and got her recognition, which helped her become the sports presenter. Trying to be an actress, Sahiba interviewed for Tripti Dimri’s role in Laila-Majnu, but got role of her sister. She auditioned for famous blockbusters like Sultan and Kabir Singh. Sahiba has been featured in shows like Bard of blood on Netflix, a thriller show and Taanav on SonyLiv. She played role of inter service agent, Abida in the former show. She played the lead role in a romantic short film, Jiya Jaye on Youtube. Talking in an interview, she talked about an incident where she got selected for a show on Netflix, playing role of a girl who lives in Gurgaon, but got cancelled as they wanted a different package! She also got her recognition for videos made with Zomato and fresh vibe she spreads on Instagram and YouTube.

Talking more about her acting career, she said that she did not want to engage in typical Bollywood roles, but wanted something more free flowing, and a natural role that suits her nature and well being. In year 2024, she was invited to a billionaire’s son’s wedding which was dubbed into a show “The Shaadi of the century”, but she decided to skip it, as she did not want any fake attention. One of her biggest recognition is when she spoke about the exclusion of Mughal history from NCERT books, as it does not speak about the Nation’s importance!

Lesser known facts about Sahiba Bali

As fame comes, it carries a lot of rumours and criticism with it. The same thing happens with Sahiba Bali, especially after she got her recognition as a sports presenter. She was linked with presenters like Samay Raina and Aaditya Kulshrestha, with whom she did comic shows. After her career in IPL 2025, she was supposed to be dating Shreyas Iyer. In an interview, she accepted that she has a crush on Australian skipper, Pat Cummins. Upon confrontation in a talk show, she responded that people often link her, as she’s a woman who’s working in a male dominated field, but it doesn’t bother her. This is because she knows her work and how to carry herself! Another important, yet unusual fact about her is that she doesn’t like using social media and phone most of the time. She said that she misses the golden old times, when life was more than just a phone and social media. This is quite strange, as she spends most of her time creating content.
