Sanju Samson first joined Indian Premier League with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 but couldn’t play any match that year. He then was given to RR to replace the injured Dishant Yagnik, another wicket-keeper batsman like him and then got to play his very first IPL match on 14 April 2013 opposite to Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).
