Rajeev Shulka is a veteran administrator of the Indian cricket broad and he also served as the president of the Indian Premier League. Currently, Shukla is the vice president of the BCCI since 2020. Now he would be an acting president of the Indian broad till the 2025 elections are happen in the month of September.
Roger Binny became the president of the BCCI after the former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly. Roger was even the president of Karnataka State Cricket Association before the became the president of the BCCI three years ago. Binny is still regarded as one of the greats of Indian cricket, who was the part of India’s first ever World Cup title win in 1983 under the leadership of Kapil Dev.
Talking about the interim president of the Indian cricket broad, BCCI, CK Khanna had served as the acting president of the BCCI from 2017 to 2019 because the Indian supreme court had appointed the administrators that will govern the Indian cricket broad for 33 months. Binny also coached the under 19 team of India, who won the WC in 2000.
But Roger Binny will turn 70 in July, 2025 and that’s why he cannot continue as the president of the Indian board and along with that Binny’s three year tenure will also get over in this year. Rajeev Shukla has worked as the president of the IPL and he is a senior office barrier of the BCCI, a much more suitable candidate for this all important post.
A candidate can hold the President post of the BCCI for maximum three years and that candidate should be younger than 70 years.
