Virat Kohli, after his retirement, lives in England as he might need privacy and free access to go out with his family, which is not possible now in India. Although there is no official confirmation that the former India captain permanently lives in England, he often visits the country nowadays. Now, he has invited a few members of the Indian test team who are in England for a five-match test series.
As per the media reports, some of the members who visited Kohli’s London house are new captain Shubman Gill, vice captain Rishabh Pant, and Mohammad Siraj. Despite announcing retirement from the longest format, Virat Kohli’s passion to help the young cricketers is still alive. His inputs and insights will help Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, who have been a part of the leadership group. The former Indian captain has done well as captain in the SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) countries. He became the first Indian captain to win a test series in Australia. Before the 5th test, India were leading the series 2-1 (one draw) and were in a great position to win the game in the first test as well.
Meeting Virat Kohli before the start of the series will help the new captain, Shubman Gill, going ahead. The former India captain will share his experience and can give inputs on how to approach the captaincy duties in test cricket.
