Established in 1916, the MA Chidambaram Stadium is one of the prominent and oldest cricket venues in the country. Better known as Chepauk Stadium is located near Marina beach in Chennai, the capital city of Tamilnadu state. Formerly known as the Madras Cricket Club Ground, it was renamed after M. A. Chidamabaram, who was the former president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA). It holds a 38,000 seating capacity for cricket enthusiasts. Other than the Chennai Super Kings, this venue is also home to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Team.
