Left-armed pacer Khaleel Ahmed is coming from Tonk, Rajasthan, representing the Domestic Team as well. He represented Rajasthan in the Under-16 and Under-19, and senior state teams as well. After his successful Domestic Season in 2016-2017, when he also made his debut for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Khaleel Ahmed was picked up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 3 crore. He registered himself for Rs 20 lakh, but the bidding contest among DC, PBKS, and SRH skyrocketed his IPL salary to Rs 3 crore. For the IPL 2025 season, Khaleel Ahmed's services were bought by the Chennai Super Kings for the amount of Rs 4.80 crore.

In the 2018 IPL Season, Khaleel Ahmed played his debut season with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He played his first match between SRH and KKR on May 25 at Eden Gardens. He delivered three overs and conceded 38 runs without taking a wicket.

Since 2018, Khaleel Ahmed has played with three different IPL teams, including CSK, DC, and SRH. Khaleel Ahmed spent a 4-year stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2018 to 2021. He then joined the Delhi Capitals in 2022 and stayed until 2024. Later, he transferred to the Chennai Super Kings in the 2025 IPL season.

In 2025, Chennai Super Kings acquired Khaleel Ahmed’s services for Rs 4.80 crore in the Mega IPL 2024 Auction, which is significantly less than his previous salary. Before CSK, Khaleel Ahmed served Delhi Capitals for the IPL salary of 5.25 crore. Initially, Ahmed started his IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 3 crore. Although he was first recognised by the then-head coach of the Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils), Rahul Dravid, and picked for the 2016 IPL season for his base price of Rs 10 lakh. But he didn’t get his break with Delhi and was released in the 2018 IPL season.
