Hailing from Karnataka, Vijaykumar Vyshak is a right-arm medium pacer and right-handed lower-order batter in the IPL. 28-year-old Vijaykumar Vyshak played his IPL debut with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2023 after his 2022 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy’s solid performance. He scalped 15 wickets from 8 matches while maintaining an economy rate of 6.31. He continued giving his best in his first IPL season, scalping 9 wickets in 7 matches. After being released by the franchise ahead of the 2025 season, Punjab Kings bagged him and purchased his services for Rs 1.80 crore.

Vijaykumar Vyshak initially went unsold in the 2023 IPL auction. However, he got a call from RCB to replace injured Rajat Patidar amid the tournament. Vyshak played his first IPL match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals on April 15 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In his debut match, Vyshak made a stir by scalping three wickets for 20 runs at an economy rate of 5.

Vijaykumar Vyshak registered himself for IPL 2023 for the base price of Rs 20 lakhs and went unsold. Luckily, he got another chance from the IPL franchise RCB, who were looking for a replacement for Rajat Patidar. Vyshak's IPL entry was a bit dramatic, but he assured his spot permanently with his electrifying cricket in both IPL and Domestic.

During the Auction, the Punjab franchise secured Vijaykumar Vyshak for Rs 1 crore and 80 lakhs after a bidding contest with the Gujarat Titans.
