Impressive Sam Konstas retains his place, Australia eye yet another WTC win

Sam Konstas, the impressive 19 years old who impressed one and all with his fearless batting also retains his place. The youngster took head on the likes of Bumrah and Siraj from the ball one itself. Konstas reverse scooped Bumrah and played some attacking shots to stun the Indians in the early phase of his innings. Playing such shots against a quality bowler like Bumrah takes some courage and that too in his debut innings.

Australia have carried their excellent form from the 2023 cycle as they won four out of their six test series to qualify for the WTC for the second time. If Australia manages to defeat South Africa in the WTC Final, they will be the first team to win the WTC Final for a second consecutive year. In the road to the WTC Final 2025, Australia had a pretty decent Ashes as they drew the series 2-2 playing in England and following that Australia drew another test series against West Indies 1-1 in down under.
