The pacer’s first spell of IPL 2025 proved to be an expensive one, as he was taken for 76 runs without a wicket against Hydebarabd. His bowling figures were recorded as the most expensive in IPL history, surpassing Mohit Sharma’s 0/73 for Gujarat Titans (GT) against Delhi Capitals last year.
On the other hand, Sunrisers showcased their batting firepower by securing their fourth 250-plus total in T20 cricket, making them the most dominant team in this record category, overtaking India and Surrey.
However, their own IPL record for the highest team total was missed by just two runs, with 286 for six being posted against Rajasthan. The Sunrisers’ previous best of 287/3 had come against RCB last year, a record that stood as a testament to their batting prowess. Adding another glorious chapter, Ishan Kishan played a pivotal role this time, bringing up his first IPL century in just 45 balls.
