After having to chase such a huge total of 206, the SRH openers were under pressure. As Travis Head was not playing because he got infected of covid, all eyes were on Abhishek Sharma as he and Atharva Taide came to open. Taide got out after playing three wonderful boundaries. But Abhishek Sharma kept going and stretched a partnership of 82 with Ishan Kishan. Abhishek took all the bowlers into the cleaners. At first, he took on William ORourke and then he took the leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi for four consecutive sixes. Then finally in the seventh over Digvesh Rathi continued his good form and took the wicket of dangerous Abhishek.
Klaasen came into the innings when the dangerous Abhishek Sharma got out in the seventh over. At first Klaasen took his time and then as the game went by, he started to accelerate. When Klaasen hits boundaries it looks very easy and pleasing to the eye. Like Rohit Sharma, Klaasen has a gift of timing and power. In the score of 47, Klaasen had hit four fours and a single six. Klaasen made sure that when he got out SRH were almost home and in the end it was an easy victory for SRH as they won by six wickets in 18 overs.
Aussie All-Rounder Mitchell Marsh is in tremendous form in this year’s IPL 2025. In 11 matches so far, Marsh has scored 443 runs so far with a great strike rate of 157.10. In the match against SRH, Marsh continued his good form as he smashed the SRH bowlers all round the park. He first took on his Aussie skipper Pat Cummins in the very first over. Then he took on the youngster Harsh Dubey and continued his hitting. At the end, Harsh Dubey got the wicket of Mitchell Marsh at the 10th over. Mitchell Marsh played a blistering knock of 65 in just 39 balls.
Aiden Markram along with Mitchell Marsh are one of the most dangerous opening partnerships in the IPL. Both of them are in tremendous form and match each other’s style of play. In yesterday’s match Markram took his time to settle down but then he took on most of the bowlers like Marsh. The opening partnership with Mitchell Marsh was worth 115 for the first wicket in just 10.3 overs. Markram has hit some stylist cover drives and some sixes over the bowler’s head. At the end Markram scored 61 in just 38 balls and laid a set platform for the rest of the batters.
Eshan Malinga, the Sri Lankan fast bowler playing his sixth match in the IPL impressed one and all with his terrific change of pace deliveries and yorkers. He had an impressive figure of 4 overs for 28 runs and got two important wickets. He has taken the crucial wickets of Ayush Badoni and the LSG skipper Rishabh Pant and has put the breaks on the flow of runs. In a high scoring match, Eshan Malinga bowled brilliantly with great presence of mind.
Coming into this match, Ishan Kishan was not in good form. In the IPL so far, Ishan Kishan has scored only 231 runs with an average of 25. 67. In this match, Ishan stretched an important partnership with Abhisek Sharma worth 82. He ended up scoring 35 off 28 balls and has hit three fours and two humongous sixes.
Coming into the first innings of the match, Sunrisers skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Mitchell Marsh-Aiden Markram opening duo of the Lucknow Super Giants started the innings brilliantly as LSG raced on to 100 without losing any wicket. Harsh Dubey took the crucial wicket of Mitchell Marsh in the 10th over as LSG lost the first wicket on 115.
After that Nicholas Pooran and Markram steadied the ship as Markram crossed his half century. Then Harshal Patel took the crucial wicket of Markram with a brilliant slower ball. As Pooran was trying to hit a few lusty blows towards the end Ishan Kishan made a brilliant run-out which kept Pooran short of the crease. Sri Lankan fast bowler Eshan Malinga bowled a superb spell as he had a great spell of 4 overs 28 runs and 2 wickets.
Coming into the second innings of the match, SRH were missing a big player in the opening slot as Travis Head missed out due to his infection of Covid-19. Atharva Taide got the chance to replace Head and scored three stylist boundaries.
But at the end he got to William O Rourke in the 1.4 over as Atharva went for the pull and got a massive top-edge as ORourke got his maiden IPL wicket. Then after that Ishan Kishan came and along with Abhishek Sharma they took on the LSG bowlers and stretched a partnership of 82.
In this partnership, Abhishek smashed four consecutive sixes off Ravi Bishnoi in the sixth over. From LSG’s bowling department, Digvesh Rathi continued his good form as he took the crucial wicket of dangerous Abhishek Sharma and in fact there was a confrontation between these two when Digvesh took off his trademark book-signature celebration.
Then Heinrich Klassen came into the crease and took on the bowlers all with Ishan Kishan and Kamindu Mendis. At the 17th over, Klassen departed for 47 in 28 balls and by then the match was over. At the end Nitish Kumar Reddy finished off in style with a boundary in the 18th over.

The first key moment of the match happened when Harsh Dubey took the all important wicket of Mitchell Marsh in the 10th over as he was going all guns blazing.
The second key moment of the match happened when Harshal Patel cleaned up Markram with a brilliant slower ball in the fifth over. A set Markram can be dangerous at the back end of the innings.
The most important key moment of the match happened when Nicholas Pooran was run out after a brilliant throw by Ishan Kishan in the 19th over. Pooran could have been more destructive had he stayed till the final ball.
