Legends League Cricket Announced the Starting Date of the 4th Season

Last season, in a thrilling final match, Southern Super Stars defeated Konark Suryas Odisha in the Super Over match at Srinagar Stadium. In Legends League Cricket 2024, after 40 years, it happened that international players were seen playing in Jammu & Kashmir and Srinagar. 

Earlier, this happened in 1983-84 when players from Australia, India, and the West Indies played a match at the Kashmir Cricket Stadium. This shows how big the development has been in the Legends Cricket League. 

It has certainly been successful in attracting the fans, as it has had 3 successful seasons in the past. People come to the ground to see their favourite former cricketers, and they get entertained a lot by watching exciting and thrilling matches. Although no information has been given about the venues of LLC 2025 yet, it is expected that, as last year, less international cricket was played in India, efforts will be made to organise LLC matches there so that a good audience can come to the ground to watch the match.

In the last season of the Legends League Cricket, 6 teams played in the tournament. Konark Suryas Odisha, Manipal Tigers, Toyam Hyderabad, Gujarat Greats, Southern Super Stars and India Capitals were the teams.

Where international cricket is played very rarely in India, LLC had targeted such places in the form of Venues in 2025, which included Srinagar, Surat, Jammu, and Jodhpur.

LLC winners & Runner-up List

Last year, Fans were thrilled to see the final match of the Legends League Cricket. Southern Super Stars batted first and scored 164 runs, in which Hamilton Masakadza scored 83 runs in 58 balls with the help of 5 sixes. Similarly, Dilshan Munaweera from Konark Suryas also bowled brilliantly, taking four wickets for 9 runs in three overs. 

Initially, it seemed that the Southern Super Stars would win this match easily, but Yusuf Pathan gave a brilliant performance for Konark Surya Odisha. He turned the losing game around by scoring 85 runs in 38 balls with the help of 8 sixes. However, when Konark Surya's Odisha needed two runs to win on the last ball, unfortunately, Yusuf Pathan got run out, and the match faced a super over. After which, Southern Super Stars easily won the game in the super over and became the title winners for the first time. Hamilton Masakadza became the Player of the Match for his explosive batting, while Martin Guptill, who showed a tremendous performance throughout the tournament, was the Man of the Series last year.
