Yuvraj Singh is one of the most popular and wealthiest cricketers in India. The former all-rounder had an illustrious career that helped the national team not win one but two World Cups. In both the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup, Yuvraj was named the Player of the Series as India went on to win tournaments. There were hardly any other Indian players who made the same level of impact as he did.
Singh, after finishing his playing career, which was cut short by his lung cancer. Since retiring from all forms of cricket, Yuvraj has been actively making moves in the business industry. YouWeCan Fashion is a subsidiary brand of the non-profit organization. As the name suggests, YouWeCan (YWC) Fashions sells clothing products. These clothes are listed on popular E-Commerce websites like Myntra and Amazon.
Yuvraj Singh’s fight against cancer is well-documented in India. Being one of the most successful players at the time of detection, many fans were left disheartened by the news. It was later revealed by the star all-rounder that he started to show early symptoms before the World Cup in 2011. However, in spite of spitting and vomiting blood and a decreased level of stamina, Singh chose to ignore the symptoms.
He feared that going to the doctor or telling his Indian teammates about his condition would result in his axing from the team. So, Yuvraj played in the World Cup in India and scored 362 runs, took 15 wickets, and won the tournament. Once the high of being named the Player of the Series was over for Yuvi he went to the doctor. His worst fear came true as a tumor was detected in his left lung.
He made a comeback to the national team after going through three rounds of chemotherapy in Boston and Indianapolis. Yuvraj received treatment from the same doctors that previously treated cyclist Lance Armstrong. He played 68 matches for India from the start of 2012 till the end of his career.
After bidding goodbye to international cricket in 2017, Yuvraj is once again making a debut, this time in the alcohol industry. Singh’s FINO tequila is already available in some of the high-end stores in Chicago and other parts of the United States. It is expected that the alcoholic beverage will be making a grand entry into the Indian market in April 2025.
