Best Batting Average in Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 

Balasubramaniam Sachin has recorded the best batting average of 84.50 in the 2024 Tamil Nadu Premier League. He only played 3 matches and scored 169 runs with a strike rate of 135.20 while representing Kovai Kings in the TNPL 2024. 

In the 2025 TNPL season, Balasubramaniam Sachin was retained by the team Lyca Kovai Kings. He has amassed 104 runs from 4 innings while averaging 26.00 at a strike rate of 136.84.

The Tamil Nadu Premier League became one of the most exciting T20 Domestic leagues in Indian Cricket. The TNPL helps many young talents to emerge as one to prospect in the National team and in IPL (Indian Premier League) as well. 1.  Pranav Kumar - 80.00

Pranav Kumar has the best batting average in the Tamil Nadu Premier League history. He has an average of 80.00 while scoring 80 runs from 3 matches at a strike rate of 105.26. He is a right handed batter who can also bowl at a medium pace. While representing SKM Salem Spartans he gave a notable performance against 32 runs off 34 balls against Lyca Kovai Kings and 25 runs off 27 balls against Siechem Madurai Panthers in 2022 TNPL season. 

2.  R Rajan - 76.00

Batting all rounder R Rajan is the second player with the most batting average in the Tamil Nadu Premier League history. He has played 4 matches while scoring 76 runs with an average of 76 and a strike rate of 110.14. He slammed one half centuries while playing for the  SKM Salem Spartans, VB Thiruvallur Veerans in the tournament. 

3. Murali Vijay - 61.16

Former Indian cricketer Murali Vijay is the next batsman with the most batting average in the TNPL from 2016 to 2025. Murali Vijay has bagged 734 runs from 14 matches while averaging 61.6 which is one of the highest in the TNPL history. He is one of the standout performers in the TNPL, playing both as captain and player. Last time he played in 2022 TNPL, representing Trichy Warriors.     

4. Sai Sudharsan - 56.65

Top-order batter Sai Sudarshan is next on the list of most average in the TNPL by a batsmen. Sai Sudarshan has an average of 56.55 or scoring 1303 in 13 matches with a strike rate of 151.33. He is also one of the highest run getters and a scorer with 123 runs off 56 balls. Previously played for Lyca Kovai Kings in the tNPL 2024, Sai Sudarshan has transferred to Salem Spartans as of 2025 TNPL season.  

5. Shivam Singh - 54.00

Last but not least Shivam singh who has the best batting average of 54.00 in the Tamil Nadu Premier League history. He has played 22 matches and accumulated 918 runs with an average of 54 and a strike rate of 142.32 including 9 half-centuries and 1 ton. 2024 TNPL Orange Cap winner Shivam Singh is one of the top performers of the Dindigul Dragons, scoring 364 runs from just 9 innings with an average of 45.50.
