The most exciting cricketing event, the T20 Mumbai League, is returning with its 3rd season after a six-year gap. The tournament is all set to take place from June 4 to 12 at two different venues - Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. With some changes in the teams' names, there will be 8 teams competing with each other to clinch the final trophy.

Highest Individual Score in T20 Mumbai League 2019 

In 2019, the highest individual score was 110 runs by Jay Bista in the T20 Mumbai League, which is the highest score of the tournament in history as well. In a thrilling match between SoBo SuperSonics and Aakash Tigers MWS, Jay Bista bagged 110 runs in just 60 balls with a strike rate of 183.33 at Wankhede Stadium.

So far, two seasons of the T20 Mumbai League have been done and dusted from 2018 to 2019.  Previously, in the 2019 T20 Mumbai League season, the North Mumbai Panthers defeated the SoBo SuperSonics by 6 wickets and became the winners at Wankhede Stadium.

Here are the top 5 players with the highest score in the T20 Mumbai League from 2018 to 2019:

1. Jay Bista- 110*

Jay Bista holds the record for the highest individual score in the T20 Mumbai League in history. He amassed an unbeaten 110 runs off 60 balls at a strike rate of 183.33, including 9 fours and 5 sixes. With this amazing knock of 110 runs, Jay Bista helped his team, SoBo SuperSonics, to reach the final while defeating Aakash Tigers MWS by a huge 26-run margin at the Wankhede stadium. Throughout the season, Jay Bista remained a consistent performer, accumulating  249 runs from 7 matches with an average of 34.57.

2. Sujit Nayak- 99

Now retired, Sujit Nayak is the second-highest individual scorer with 99 runs in the T20 Mumbai League. He bagged 99 runs from just 42 balls with a strike rate of 235.71 and slammed 6 fours and 9 sixes. In 2018, Sujit Nayak achieved his highest T20 Mumbai League score for SoBo SuperSonics against ARCS Andheri at Wankhede Stadium. He played a crucial role in the SoBo SuperSonics' massive victory of 78 runs over ARCS Andheri. During the season, Sujit Nayak amassed 186 runs in 7 innings with an average of 37.2. 

3. Parag Khanapurkar- 96

Southpaw all-rounder Parag Khanapurkar is next in the list of batsmen with the highest individual score in the T20 Mumbai League. In 2019, Parag Khanapurkar bagged 96 runs for SoBo SuperSonics against ARCS Andheri at the Wankhede Stadium. He faced only 49 balls while scoring 96 runs at a strike rate of 195.91 while slamming 10 fours and 5 sixes. With his contribution, the SoBo SuperSonics won the match by 48 runs and crushed the ARCS Andheri.

4. Hersh Tank- 93

Hersh Tank is the fourth-highest scorer in the T20 Mumbai League in the history of the tournament. In the 2019 T20 Mumbai League, SoBo SuperSonics’ Hersh Tank bagged 93 runs off 51  against Aakash Tigers MWS at Wankhede Stadium. He achieved his tournament's best score with a strike rate of 182.35, including 7 fours and 5 sixes. His partnership with Jay Bista, who bagged the tournament’s first century, 110 runs, was a great contribution to lead the squad into the Final of the 2019 T20 Mumbai League.  

5.Shreyas Iyer- 91*

Last but not least, Sheryas Iyer, who has the 5th highest individual score in the T20 Mumbai League. Shreyas Iyer bagged an unbeaten 91 runs from just 58 balls with a strike rate of 156.89. During his unbeaten knock of 91 runs, Shreyas Iyer hit a total of 10 boundaries, 3 fours, and 7 sixes. He scored his highest score for NaMo Bandra Blasters against Shivaji Park Lions at Wankhede Stadium in the inaugural season of 2018 T20 Mumbai League.
