The current form of KKR is slightly better than SRH, however both teams have struggled in the tournament. Kolkata have three wins in the last five matches while SRH have just two wins in the last five matches. Kolkata lost their last match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium and SRH lost the match to Delhi Capitals at Visakhapatnam. Both teams need a comeback in this game before it’s too late for them to put in an effort.
Eden Gardens, Kolkata is the home ground of the Kolkata Knight Riders and has hosted 96 IPL matches. The team batting second has been very effective on this ground winning 56 matches. The pitch of Kolkata is a good batting wicket but with help for bowlers as well. This pitch has spongy bounce which causes trouble for the batter at times and hit-the-deck bowlers like Pat Cummins, Harshit Rana and Mohammad Shami will be effective in this match.
These two teams were in the final of IPL 2024 where Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to lift their third title in IPL. KKR and SRH have played 28 matches so far in the history of IPL with Kolkata leading the head-to-head battle with 19-9. This match is an opportunity for both the teams to improve their record against each other.
Rahane, Rinku and de Kock are part of KKR's strong batting lineup. Varun and Spencer lead the bowling, while Russell and Narine provide depth all around. A balanced team for the match.
Quinton de Kock(w), Sunil Narine, Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane(c), Rinku Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Spencer Johnson, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy
Impact Players: Anrich Nortje, Anukul Roy, Manish Pandey, Vaibhav Arora, Luvnith Sisodia
Injury Update: None
Power hitters Head and Klaasen are part of SRH's lineup, and Kishan provides stability. Cummins, Shami and Harshal lead the bowling. A good balance of young talent and experience for this game.
Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen(w), Aniket Verma, Abhinav Manohar/Sachin Baby, Pat Cummins(c), Zeeshan Ansari, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Shami

Abhishek Sharma has scored 28 runs in 14 balls against Varun Chakravarthy, hitting 3 sixes. He has been out only once. If he gets past the first few overs, he can be dangerous against Varun. If Abhishek survives the powerplay, this could be a big game for him with a 200-plus strike rate against the most important bowler of the opponent.
"Death Over classic battle to watch."
Klaasen has faced 19 balls from Harshit Rana, scoring 29 runs. But Harshit has dismissed him twice. In the final overs, this battle will be exciting—can Klaasen smash big hits, or will Harshit get him out again?
"Powerplay battle will be interesting."
Quinton de Kock has scored 54 runs off 36 balls against Mohammed Shami but has also been dismissed three times. With Shami bowling in the powerplay, this battle will be fun to watch—can Quinton attack, or will Shami get him early?
Sunil Narine returned from an injury in the last match after missing an odd game in the IPL against Rajasthan Royals. He made a comeback against Mumbai Indians in the next match but was a complete flop in that match with the bat and ball. However Sunil Narine at Eden Gardens is a different love story.
Andre Russell was not even a good pick before the last match, he didn’t bowl in the first two games. He was just used as a proper batter which decreased his importance in fantasy cricket. But as Russell is back again with the ball in hand he is the most crucial pick for Kolkata Knight Riders. Remember he can bowl in the death as well to give more bowling points.

Travis Head
Travis Head has had a few starts now in the last few matches but he hasn’t been able to convert them into big innings but this could be the match for him to bring his form back. Travis has no trouble against any KKR player, making him a more important player pick in this match.
Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins was a KKR player and has played a few matches at Eden Gardens. Pat Cummins has experience playing against Kolkata Knight Riders. He has bowled well against them, picking up five wickets in five games with a strike-rate of 19.20 and a personal best of 2/39 in 2017. He also has an average of 28.50 with the bat against KKR making him an important pick in this match.
Aniket Verma is truly a find of this IPL for team SRH and their management. Aniket Verms is a right handed batter who likes to play big shots and he has been able to do that in the IPL so far. Verma has scored 12 sixes in the season so far and is just behind top ranked Nicholas Pooran who has 13 sixes.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was in a good touch in the last match before throwing his wicket to Haridk Pandya, after scoring 26 off 16 balls, hitting three fours and one six. His short innings was intentful and promising to consider him for the next matches.
Luvnith Sisodia is a wicket-keeper batsman from Karnataka. He had a good 2024-25 season with the bat and impressed the KKR management but not enough to earn him a place in the XI. You can avoid him in your dream11 team.
Abhinav Manohar has been given a lot of chances by SRH and now it;s time to replace him with someone like Sachin Baby. Manohar has not done well, leave well, he has not even done fine this season to retain his place in the 11. He must be replaced with Sachin Baby or Kamindu Mendis.
