The situation of both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals is similar. SRH has won 2 out of the last 5 matches and lost 3. Their last match was against Gujarat Titans where Gujarat scored a huge total of 224. Abhishek Sharma scored 74 runs but the team could reach only 186 and lost the match by 38 runs.
Similar is the scene for Delhi Capitals as well. They also won only 2 out of 5 matches. Their last match was against KKR, the target was 205. Faf du Plessis fought hard with 62 runs but Delhi could only score 190. Both the teams are struggling a bit and one of them will have to get back into rhythm in this match.
This ground of Hyderabad has always been batsman-friendly. The pitch here is flat, the bounce is consistent and the ball comes on a great bat. So whichever batsman gets set, this ground becomes a buffet for him. Till now, 82 IPL matches have been played here. In which 46 times the team chasing has won and 35 times the one batting first. This clearly shows that dew has a little influence and batting becomes relatively easier in the second innings.
This ground set the fire in this year's IPL as well. Sunrisers Hyderabad had made a mountain of 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals. Delhi Capitals recorded the lowest score of this ground against SRH back in 2013. The average first innings score here is around 165, which means that a score of 170-180 is considered competitive here. But if the bowlers bowl from a tight line and length, then the damage can be controlled here as well.
SRH and DC have played a total of 25 matches against each other. Sunrisers Hyderabad has won 13 times, while Delhi Capitals has made its name 12 times. Both these teams are very close in head-to-head record, which makes this match even more interesting.
In the last 2 matches, in 2025, DC won by 7 wickets, while in 2024, SRH defeated DC by 67 runs. Both the teams would like to show their form in this match while remembering their old victories.

Faf has scored 16 runs in 22 balls and Harshal has got him out 2 times. There are 10 dot balls in between. Faf Du Plessis has scored a four but never hit a six. Harshal has controlled Faf Du Plessis easily in the IPL clashes.
Abhishek has scored 38 runs in 13 balls, but has also been out 2 times. He has hit only 1 four but added 5 sixes – this battle is explosive, but Kuldeep has also got him out twice.
Head has scored 10 runs in 7 balls against Starc, and has been out 2 times. He has hit 2 fours, but hasn't hit a six yet. Starc has kept him tight and has even taken him out both times.
Abhishek is having a crazy good season with the bat. He hammered a stunning 141 against Punjab and followed it up with 74 against Gujarat. He is striking at over 180 and giving Hyderabad the kind of explosive starts that change games. If he gets going again, he can destroy any bowling attack.
Cummins is leading the SRH bowling and doing a decent job. He got 3/26 against Mumbai and a useful 2/21 against CSK. He can bowl in the powerplay and at the death, plus he can hit with the bat too. He’s picked 10 wickets so far and adds value with both bat and ball.
KL is playing like a true leader for Delhi. He has scored 371 runs in just 9 matches and is averaging over 50 this season. He smashed 57* against Lucknow and also got 41 against RCB. His strike rate is strong, and he’s looking calm and in control at the crease. If Delhi needs a solid start, KL is the man to count on.
Axar is doing everything for Delhi. With the bat, he’s scored 232 runs with some solid knocks like 43 against KKR and 39 against GT. With the ball, he has 5 wickets too, and bowled a brilliant 2/27 recently. He’s that dependable all-rounder every team dreams of having. Always performs when the team needs it.
Unadkat has played only 4 matches, but he’s been very impressive. He took 3/35 in his latest outing and followed that up with 2/21 against CSK. He’s using his experience well and bowling smart. He might be SRH’s go-to pacer for early breakthroughs.
Vipraj is starting to make a name for himself. He picked up 2 wickets against KKR and even scored 38 runs in the same match. That kind of all-round performance boosts any team. He’s still young but looks confident. Might surprise a few again.
Zeeshan Ansari is a brilliant spinner for SRH this season but he is not getting a lot of wickets in recent matches while he is also going for too many runs which can reduce his chances to bowl his full overs. He can be avoided in this match against Delhi Capitals who knows how to play spin well.
Like Ansari, Dushmantha Chameera is also an expensive bowler who misses his line and length in almost every match which makes him a very dangerous pick to have in your dream11 team. He should be avoided in this match where batters will enjoy the pace on bat at Hyderabad's pitch.
