London Spirit Women started the tournament with a bang. They won the match by 17 runs against Oval Invincibles. Grace Harris scored 89 runs in just 42 balls and Cordelia Griffith also scored 50 runs. Due to these two the team posted a big score of 176. In bowling Issy Wong and Tara Norris made important breakthroughs and defended the match. Kapp and Lanning gave a good fight but Spirit's bowling stopped them. After this win London Spirit is in second position in the points table. The balance of the team looks strong and confidence is also high.
The pitch at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff is balanced in The Hundred matches. Here the new ball helps the fast bowlers a little as it gives a good bounce.
