Whiptail Smashers' campaign so far in TN T10 Blast 2025 has been a bit up-down. The team has won only 2 of its 5 matches and faced defeat in 3. But their last match was very important against Bamboo Blasters in which they won by 4 runs. Jard Goodman set the flow of the match in the opening itself with an explosive innings of 50 runs, and Tyrel Chicot also scored valuable 30 runs.
The team posted a strong total of 137 in 10 overs. When the Blasters were chasing, Noelle Leo and Stephen Naitram gave a good start but Shawnil Edward and Jeandell Cyril broke their momentum with their tight bowling. This win was very important for them as they have to remain in the playoff race and the team now needs a consistent performance to move forward.
Amazonian Warriors had a slow start in the tournament but now their form is at its peak. The team lost their first two matches but after that made a strong comeback and won the last three matches back-to-back. They are now in second position on the points table. Their last match was one-sided against Calabash Giants in which they restricted their opponent to just 77 runs.
Jaden Elibox emerged as the hero of the match, he took 2 wickets from the first ball and then gave the team an easy win by adding 46 runs in just 5.4 overs. Dane Edward also played a quick cameo of 18 runs. There seems to be balance in both bowling and batting and now Warriors have become a dangerous team, taking which lightly could be costly for anyone.
The pitch of Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium is considered to be balanced where batters get a good surface and bowlers also get a little help. Fast bowlers can get swing in the middle overs which is quite useful. The team winning the toss usually prefers to bowl first. The average first innings score here is around 104, which shows that the pitch is neither too easy nor too tough. The weather could remain a little cloudy but the chances of rain are less.
This season Whiptail Smashers and Amazonian Warriors have played a single game against each other where Amazonian Warriors defeated Whiptail Smashers by 8 wickets. Amazonian Warriors scored 125 runs in 10 overs.
