Punjab Kings have become the first team to make it to Qualifier 1. The result of tomorrow’s game will play a part in which team they face at Mullanpur. Thanks to a couple of special knocks by Josh Inglis and Priyansh Arya, PBKS record an emphatic win over the five-time champions to get to the top of the points table. Inglis remained unbeaten till the end of the 18th over to seal the deal for the Kings. Skipper, Shreyas Iyer hit the winning runs.
Punjab Kings score 146/2 in 15 overs. Need 39 runs in 30 balls. Inglis: 62* (36), Iyer: 2* (3)
Mitchell Santner has finally broken the dangerous-looking stand between Priyansh and Inglis by dismissing the Indian batter. Santner, after conceding 23 runs in his first two overs, struck with the first delivery of his third over. The Kiwi spinner bowled a great over and has possibly given MI a life in this game.
Punjab Kings score 143/1 in 14 overs. Need 42 runs in 36 balls. Priyansh: 62* (34), Inglis: 61* (34)

Hardik Pandya got himself back into the attack to bowl the 12th over. The MI skipper came to bowl after a tumultuous five-over period for his side. PBKS, thanks to Josh Inglis, scored 58 runs in five overs, which included a five-run over from Jasprit Bumrah. Hardik started the over nicely and gave away only three runs off as many balls. However, he could not close out the over as he gave away 12 runs off the final three balls of the over. Meanwhile, Josh Inglis and Priyansh Arya reached their respective half-centuries in only 29 and 27 balls.
Punjab Kings score 105/1 in 11 overs. Need 80 runs in 54 balls. Priyansh: 39* (23), Inglis: 48* (27)
Josh Inglis is taking the game away from the Mumbai Indians. The Aussie batter, after playing a couple of cameos earlier in the season, is making it count tonight. After a lean over from Bumrah, the right-hander smashed Ashwani Kumar for three fours. Two of those fours came while playing a reverse scoop over the third-man fielder inside the 30-yard circle.
Punjab Kings score 89/1 in 10 overs. Need 96 runs in 60 balls. Priyansh: 37* (21), Inglis: 35* (23)

Punjab Kings score 84/1 in 9 overs. Need 101 runs in 66 balls. Priyansh: 36* (19), Inglis: 31* (19)
Josh Inglis is playing a blinder of a knock. He has not only gotten himself a good start, but in the process has scored runs off Mitchell Santner. Notably, Santner only conceded 11 runs in his previous game against the Delhi Capitals. Tonight, he has conceded 23 runs in his first two overs.
Punjab Kings score 75/1 in 8 overs. Need 110 runs in 72 balls. Priyansh: 34* (17), Inglis: 25* (15)
For the third time in the innings, Priyansh Arya has crunched a drive off the first ball of an over. It was Trent Boult who was at the receiving end for the first two times. It was Hardik Pandya, who was welcomed into his spell with a boundary by the left-handed batter. The over went from bad to worse when Inglis played an upper cut to a short ball to smash his third six of the innings.
Punjab Kings score 61/1 in 7 overs. Need 124 runs in 78 balls. Priyansh: 29* (14), Inglis: 16* (12)

Punjab Kings score 47/1 in 6 overs. Need 138 runs in 14 overs. Priyansh: 24* (12), Inglis: 8* (8)
Deepak Chahar, in spite of carrying a slight niggle came on to bowl his third over. The right-arm pacer thanks to the tension in his left hamstring has not been bowling at full tilt. He bowled a short delivery which sat up nicely for Josh Inglis to muscle for a six. He erred in his line again, while bowling to Priyansh and was flicked for a four.
Punjab Kings score 35/1 in 5 overs. Need 150 runs in 15 overs. Priyansh: 19* (10), Inglis: 1* (4)
Jasprit Bumrah, straight into the attack, has created an impact. The right-arm pacer broke the opening stand by dismissing Prabhsimran Singh, who got a reprieve in the previous over. Interestingly, it was Ashwani Kumar who took a great catch diving forward to dismiss the right-handed batter. It was a splendid over from the right-arm pacer as he gave away only a single run.
Punjab Kings score 34/0 in 4 overs. Need 151 runs in 16 overs. Priyansh: 19* (10), Prabshimran: 13* (14)
Deepak Chahar, after going off the field for the third over, returned to bowl the fourth over. The wicketkeeper came up to the stumps, which helped Prabhsimran to pre-empt the first ball. The right-handed batter ramped him for a four. After a couple of balls, the keeper was back at his usual position, which meant that Deepak bowled a short ball, which was clubbed for another four. There was a chance to break the opening stand with a ball that went miles into the air. Ashwani Kumar was the fielder underneath the ball, who could not complete the catch. Priyansh ended the over with a sublime check shot for a boundary.

Once again, Priyansh got a boundary off the first ball of the over against Boult. It was not a sweet connection as he was trying to muscle the delivery over the mid-off fielder, but an outside edge took it to the third-man boundary.
Punjab Kings score 10/0 in 2 overs. Need 175 runs in 18 overs. Priyansh: 9* (3), Prabshimran: 1* (9)
Deepak Chahar, right after bowling his first ball, signalled to the physio with some discomfort in his left hamstring. The right-arm pacer has been prone to injuries throughout his career, but returned to bowl after getting some strapping. The injury did not stop Chahar from bowling a solid over. The 32-year-old bowled a maiden over to start his spell.
Punjab Kings score 10/0 in 1 over. Need 175 runs in 19 overs. Priyansh: 9* (3), Prabshimran: 1* (3)
Priyansh Arya showed no respect to the veteran Trent Boult as he struck the first ball from the left-arm pacer for a four to kickstart the innings. Boult found some swing in the first over while bowling to Prabhsimran Singh. However, Priyansh ended the over in the same manner he started it, with another boundary.
Like the previous game, the Mumbai Indians have once again finished on a high note. Once again, it was Naman Dhir and Suryakumar Yadav who provided the finishing touches to the innings. Naman started the flow of boundaries by hitting Vyshak for a couple of sixes on the first two balls of the 19th over. Surya struck a couple of fours in the over to make it a huge over for MI.
The last over from Arshdeep Singh started with a wicket off the first ball. He nailed his yorkers and gave away only three runs in the over to restrict MI to a score of 184.
Mumbai Indians are at 153/5 after 17 overs. Suryakumar: 44* (30), Naman: 3* (4)
Once again, for the second over in a row, Hardik Pandya started an over with a boundary. The right-handed batter struck a mammoth six after picking up the short ball pretty early. Jansen, in reply, got his wicket off the next ball with a delivery that would not have fetched him a wicket on most occasions.
Mumbai Indians are at 144/4 after 16 overs. Suryakumar: 44* (30), Pandya: 20* (13)
Kyle Jamieson, coming on to bowl his third over, was met with a charging down Hardik Pandya. Even with an outside edge, the ball flew to the boundary. Mumbai Indians are at 131/4 after 15 overs. Suryakumar: 37* (28), Pandya: 14* (9)
Arshdeep Singh’s figures might not indicate how well he has bowled tonight. While the Indian pacer has remained wicketless, he has been on the mark with his deliveries more often than not. Even in his third over, the left-arm pacer was on the money for five of the six deliveries. He bowled a solitary short ball, which was ramped over the short third-man fielder.
Mumbai Indians are at 123/4 after 14 overs. Suryakumar: 35* (26), Pandya: 8* (5)

The left-arm spinner started the spell on an expensive note before bouncing back with a wicket of Rohit Sharma. It has been a consistent run of form for the spinner, and he has picked up a wicket in each of the games he has played this season.
Mumbai Indians are at 113/4 after 13 overs. Suryakumar: 32* (23), Pandya: 1* (2)
Vijaykumar Vyshak was hit for his boundary in the game in his third over. The right-arm pacer was struck for a huge six by Will Jacks. However, he made a huge comeback on the very next ball and outfoxed Jacks with a slower delivery. He missed his line after taking the wicket and gave away five runs off a legside wide. The pacer was presented with an opportunity to dismiss Hardik Pandya with a catch off his own bowling, which he dropped.
Mumbai Indians are at 100/3 after 12 overs. Suryakumar: 32* (22), Jacks: 11* (5)
Marco Jansen, coming back into the attack for his third over, was greeted with a couple of fours off the first two balls. Mumbai Indians are at 88/3 after 11 overs. Suryakumar: 31* (20), Jacks: 1* (1)
Vijaykumar Vyshak has been a great addition to the Punjab Kings' playing XI tonight. The right-arm pacer dismissed Tilak Varma with a wide delivery outside. There is a high chance that if Tilak had left the ball, it could have been called wide by the on-field umpire. However, he slashed at it, and the ball went straight to Arshdeep Singh stationed at deep third man.
Mumbai Indians are at 83/2 after 10 overs. Suryakumar: 28* (17), Tilak: 1* (2)

Mumbai Indians are at 55/1 after 7 overs. Rohit: 19* (14), Suryakumar: 6* (8)
Vijaykumar Vyshak came into the attack right after the power play. The right-arm pacer started the spell on a great note. He gave away only three runs in the seventh over and arrested the rate of scoring a bit.
Mumbai Indians are at 52/1 after 6 overs. Rohit: 17* (12), Suryakumar: 5* (4)
Marco Jansen came back into the attack to bowl the final over of the power play. The left-arm pacer struck on the first ball of his second over and dismissed his compatriot, Rickelton. Suryakumar Yadav, coming in to bat at number three, was lucky on his very first delivery as an outside edge flew to the boundary.
Mumbai Indians are at 45/0 after 5 overs. Rickelton: 27* (19), Rohit: 16* (11)
After a great first over, Marco Jansen has been taken off the attack, and Harpreet Brar came to bowl the fifth over. Rohit Sharma, after starting slowly, took the full toll against the spinner and struck a six and a four off successive deliveries.
Mumbai Indians are at 32/0 after 4 overs. Rickelton: 25* (16), Rohit: 5* (8)
A change of ends for Arshdeep Singh, who replaced Kyle Jamieson in the attack. It was not a rewarding move as the left-arm pacer was smashed for a couple of fours by Rickelton.
Mumbai Indians are at 23/0 after 3 overs. Rickelton: 16* (11), Rohit: 5* (7)
While his partner has got off to a quick start, Rohit Sharma is struggling to get going. Having been dismissed four times already in the season by a left-arm pacer, he found it difficult to score off Marco Jansen in the third over. The left-arm fast bowler erred twice in his line and bowled a couple of wides before ending the over being hit for a four by the former MI skipper.
Mumbai Indians are at 17/0 after 2 overs. Rickelton: 16* (11), Rohit: 1* (1)
Kyle Jamieson, playing his first game this season, shared the new ball with Arshdeep Singh. The tall Kiwi pacer provided some width to Rickelton and was struck for a four. The South African batter continued to build on his start and struck his third four by lofting a slot ball over the mid-on fielder.
Mumbai Indians are at 8/0 after 1 over. Rickelton: 8* (6), Rohit: 0* (0)
There is a strong breeze blowing across the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Arshdeep Singh has got the ball moving in the air thanks to the wind. Ryan Rickelton pulled the left-arm pacer for a four in the over as he erred with his length.
