RCB after winning their first two games away from home returned to Chinnaswamy. Their curse of playing at home returned as well. Their first loss of the season came at home.

Jos Buttler after his initial struggle with the bat in hand, has turned his innings upside down. He got into his groove in the 11th and 12th by striking a four and a six. The opening duo of Gill and Sai Sudharsan have benefitted hugely from knowing what their target is. In comparison to RCB batters who were playing with hard hands and pushing for boundaries, the GT openers have played with soft hands to drop the ball inside vacant spaces and run their singles hard.

The clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans could be a closely contested affair. While RCB started their campaign with two wins away from home, GT endured mixed results in their two games. The hosts will feel confident leading into this game given they have registered wins against relatively tougher opponents in KKR and CSK. The Shubman Gill-led side on the other hand would like to carry on with the momentum from their previous game where they defeated Mumbai Indians.
