It was a record-breaking performance from the Rajasthan Royals as they chased down a score of 210 runs in only 15.5 overs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi made the crowd stand on its feet for almost every ball he faced as the 14-year-old batter went on to score a century in only 35 balls. On the opposite end, Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten and closed the chase, scoring 70 runs in 40 balls.

Sai Kishore came on to bowl his first over with only 27 runs remaining to chase the target. The left-arm spinner was held back with Jaiswal and Suryavanshi both being lefties and going all guns blazing. He was welcomed into the attack with a four by Riyan Parag before the RR skipper struck a six on the third ball of the over. The over ended in the same fashion, with Parag sweeping him for a four.
Rajasthan Royals are at 174/2 after 13 overs. Need 36 runs in 42 balls. Jaiswal: 61* (36), Parag: 3* (2)

Rajasthan Royals are at 170/1 after 12 overs. Need 40 runs in 48 balls. Jaiswal: 60* (33), Nitish: 4* (1)
The two young left-handed opening batters have made a mockery of this chase. It took an almost unplayable yorker from Prasidh Krishna to dismiss the 14-year-old.
While Suryavanshi has smashed a record-breaking ton on the opposite end, Yashasvi Jaiswal too reached his fifty in only 31 balls. Even with a chase of 210, the asking rate is now less than six runs per over.
Rajasthan Royals are at 155/0 after 10 overs. Need 55 runs in 54 balls. Jaiswal: 49* (30), Suryavanshi: 101* (36)
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has done what would have seemed impossible when the IPL began in 2008. The 14-year-old has not only struck a century but he has done so in only 35 balls. It is the second fastest hundred in the history of the IPL and the fastest by any Indian.
Rajasthan Royals are at 144/0 after 10 overs. Need 66 runs in 60 balls. Jaiswal: 45* (26), Suryavanshi: 94* (34)
14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is making batting look pretty easy in Jaipur. The balls are flying all over the place in the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium. Karim Janat, making his IPL debut, came on to bowl the 10th over. He was welcomed with a six into the attack. However, the onslaught did not stop there as Suryavanshi struck three more fours and two sixes in the over.
Rajasthan Royals are at 108/0 after 8 overs. Need 102 runs in 72 balls. Jaiswal: 44* (23), Suryavanshi: 59* (25)
The Rajasthan Royals are off to a flier. The two left-handed opening batters have made sure that even with a poor middle-order record in the last few games, the chase is still within their grasp. Even Prasidh Krishna, who has been one of the bowlers of the season, was struck for two fours by Jaiswal before Suryavanshi ended the eighth over with a six over the long-off boundary.
Rajasthan Royals are at 91/0 after 7 overs. Need 119 runs in 78 balls. Jaiswal: 33* (18), Suryavanshi: 53* (24)
Rashid Khan, bowling his first ball of the match, burned a review against Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The Afghan spinner is also leading the side in the absence of Shubman Gill. Even with the loss of a review, it was an excellent over from Rashid, giving away only four runs.
Rajasthan Royals are at 87/0 after 6 overs. Need 123 runs in 14 overs. Jaiswal: 31* (16), Suryavanshi: 52* (20)
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has brought the crowd at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium to its feet. Even with only six runs coming off in the last over of the power play, the Rajasthan Royals, courtesy of their two young openers, have ended the first six overs on a very strong note.
Rajasthan Royals are at 81/0 after 5 overs. Need 129 runs in 15 overs. Jaiswal: 26* (13), Suryavanshi: 51* (17)
Washington Sundar was called in to bowl in the power play itself. But even the spinner was not shown any respite by the two left-handers. He was welcomed into the attack with a four from Yashasvi Jaiswal on the first ball. Suryavanshi struck two sixes and a four in the four balls he faced in the over to reach his fifty in only 17 balls.
Rajasthan Royals are at 60/0 after 4 overs. Need 150 runs in 16 overs. Jaiswal: 21* (11), Suryavanshi: 35* (13)
Ishant Sharma, aged 36, is receiving no respect from the 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The teenage sensation struck three boundaries in a row, including two sixes to welcome Ishant Sharma into his second over. On the fifth ball of the over, Suryavanshi attempted a hard flash, and as a result, even a top edge flew over the boundary behind the wicketkeeper. He ended the over with another mis-hit going for a boundary. The asking rate is now only 9.38.
Rajasthan Royals are at 32/0 after 3 overs. Need 178 runs in 17 overs. Jaiswal: 21* (11), Suryavanshi: 9* (7)
The two young openers from the Rajasthan Royals are dealing in boundaries. In the first three overs from two of the fastest Indian bowlers, they smashed three fours and two sixes. Jaiswal since being dropped by Buttler struck a six in the second over before hitting three fours on against Mohammed Siraj in the third over.
Rajasthan Royals are at 19/0 after 2 overs. Need 191 runs in 18 overs. Jaiswal: 9* (7), Suryavanshi: 8* (5)
Ishant Sharma coming off as an impact sub bowled the second and created a huge chance with the very first ball he bowled. Yashasvi Jaiswal while playing a pull shot top edged the first delivery and the ball went miles above in the dark night sky. Jos Buttler called for the catch but even with the wicketkeeping gloves on, the Englishman dropped the catch. On the last ball of the over, Jaiswal struck a six to add salt to the wounds.
How costly will the drop prove to be for the Titans?
Rajasthan Royals are at 11/0 after 1 over. Need 199 runs in 19 overs. Jaiswal: 2* (2), Suryavanshi: 7* (4)
Vaibhav Suryavanshi bats in only one style; it is either big or bust for the 14-year-old. Facing one of the finest Indian bowlers, the young left-handed batter struck a six on his second ball.
Shubman Gill after scoring 84 runs in only 50 balls in the first innings has been subbed out and replaced by Ishant Sharma. Rashid Khan will be taking over the captaincy duties for the second innings in absence of Gill.
Gujarat Titans have once again shown how a solid top order can make a huge impact in the game. While Shubman Gill scored 84 runs, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler also provided a great deal of support to their skipper. Apart from the three batters, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, and Shahrukh Khan also made the most of the limited number of balls they faced. The visitors scored 209 runs in the first innings, and it was the first time since 2024 that the 200-run mark was breached here at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
Gujarat Titans are at 168/2 after 17 overs. Buttler: 37* (21), Washington: 1* (1)
Shubman Gill, trying to muscle a six to enter the nervous nineties, was caught at long off by Riyan Parag off Maheesh Theekshana’s bowling. The Sri Lankan spinner picked up his second wicket of the match after starting the over waywardly. After scoring 90 in the previous game, the GT skipper was dismissed for a score of 84 runs.
Gujarat Titans are at 154/1 after 15.4 overs. Gill: 79* (47), Buttler: 32* (17)
With nine wickets remaining, Gujarat Titans have set themselves up nicely to power through in the last four overs. With 26 balls remaining in the first innings, the Titans would be eyeing a score of at least 200. Both Gill and Buttler are also approaching their century and half-century respectively. However, the two batters are not known for slowing down while reaching their milestones.
Gujarat Titans are at 149/1 after 15 overs. Gill: 77* (45), Buttler: 30* (15)
Wanindu Hasaranga ended his spell on an expensive note courtesy of three sixes and a four from Jos Buttler. The Sri Lankan spinner had been pretty economical in his first three overs. He had conceded only 15 in his first three before bowling a 24-run fourth over to end his spell.
Gujarat Titans are at 125/1 after 14 overs. Gill: 77* (45), Buttler: 7* (9)
The RR pace bowlers are unable to retain the pressure that is being created by the Sri Lankan spin duo. Hasaranga, bowling the 13th over, gave away only three runs. Meanwhile, Yudhvir in the following over was hit for two sixes as he gave away 15 runs in the over.
Gujarat Titans are at 107/1 after 12 overs. Gill: 62* (38), Buttler: 4* (4)
Sandeep Sharma has been brought back into the attack as the Rajasthan Royals attempted to build up some pressure. The previous two overs from Theekshana and Hasaranga had gone for only 10 runs and resulted in a wicket as well. However, Sandeep was unable to retain the same level of pressure as Gill smashed a six on the fourth ball of the 12th over.
Gujarat Titans are at 97/1 after 11 overs. Gill: 54* (34), Buttler: 2* (2)
Maheesh Theekshana finally got his man as Riyan Parag held on to a catch. It is the Orange Cap holder, Sai Sudharsan, who holed out to long on against Theekshana in the 11th over. His dismissal brought former RR player Jos Buttler to the crease.
Will he make his former team pay for letting him go as he returns to the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium?
Gujarat Titans are at 92/0 after 10 overs. Sudharsan: 39* (29), Gill: 51* (31)
Shubman Gill has reached his fifty off 29 deliveries. It is his fourth half-century of the season. It was his opening partner in the previous clash between the two sides who proved to be the game changer; it could be Gill tonight who wins the match for his team.
Gujarat Titans are at 87/0 after 9 overs. Sudharsan: 37* (27), Gill: 48* (27)
Shubman Gill is inching closer to another half-century. While Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan have taken all the limelight among the GT batters, Gill, too, has come in some form in the last few matches. Like his first over, Yudhvir Singh failed to finish a quiet over as he was smashed for a six on the final ball of the ninth over by Sudharsan.
Gujarat Titans are at 67/0 after 7 overs. Sudharsan: 27* (21), Gill: 38* (21)
In spite of having two international spinners on their side, Riyan Parag has brought himself into the attack right after the power play. The right-arm spinner was hit for the first six of the match as he gave away 14 runs in the over.
Gujarat Titans are at 53/0 after 6 overs. Sudharsan: 26* (20), Gill: 25* (16)
The Rajasthan Royals tried four bowlers in the power play, but still the pair of Gill and Sudharsan remain unbeaten. Batting one chance that was created in the second over, the two GT batters have played risk-free cricket and have still scored at a run rate of close to nine runs per over.
Gujarat Titans are at 47/0 after 5 overs. Sudharsan: 25* (16), Gill: 22* (14)
Maheesh Theekshana has also got himself a change of ends. Meanwhile, the GT opening pair is least bothered about which bowler they are facing from either side. Both Gill and Sudharsan have played risk-free cricket in the first five overs, barring the shot on which the left-handed batter was dropped in the second over.
Gujarat Titans are at 37/0 after 4 overs. Sudharsan: 17* (11), Gill: 21* (13)
A change of ends for Jofra Archer has not stopped Shubman Gill. The GT skipper, after hitting two consecutive boundaries to end the third over from Yudhvir, struck a sublime straight drive on the third ball of the fourth over. Sudharsan too smashed his third boundary of the match in the same over.
Gujarat Titans are at 27/0 after 3 overs. Sudharsan: 11* (7), Gill: 16* (11)
Yudhvir Singh Charak coming back into the side replaced Jofra Archer in the attack. For some strange reason, Archer was given only one over up front in spite of having a great record against Shubman Gill.
Will Riyan Parag get his ace pacer back from the opposite end?
Gujarat Titans are at 17/0 after 2 overs. Sudharsan: 10* (6), Gill: 7* (6)
Coming into the side tonight, Maheesh Theekshana is called straight into the action to bowl the second over of the power play. The Sri Lankan spinner gave away a few loose deliveries in the over and was hit for a boundary by Sai Sudharsan. However, on the very next delivery, he almost had the left-handed batter back into the pavilion when Shimron Hetmyer shelled an easy catch at cover.
Gujarat Titans are at 6/0 after 1 over. Sudharsan: 5* (4), Gill: 1* (2)
The opening pair of Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill has started cautiously against the extreme pace of Jofra Archer. Against an overall timid bowling attack, it is Jofra Archer who carries the greatest of threats.
RR won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium in Jaipur.

It will be a clash between the finalists from 2022, but the two teams will lineup pretty differently than they used to when the Gujarat Titans won their maiden trophy. Jos Buttler, after being one of the finest batters in the history of the Rajasthan Royals, was released into the mega auction and was bought by the Titans.
While the hosts are one of the only two teams to have scored only four points, the Titans are arguably the favorites to make it to the top two of the points table. Individual brilliance has led the 2022 champions to winning six games from eight encounters. On the other hand, there seems to be a lack of match-winners in the Riyan Parag-led unit. In the last couple of games, they have missed their skipper, Sanju Samson.
As the two lopsided teams clash against each other at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium, there could be a few changes in the RR lineup. While skipper Samson will continue to sit out Tushar Deshpande could make way for Akash Madhwal who has a good record against Shubman Gill.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nitish Rana, Riyan Parag (C), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shubham Dubey, Shimron Hetmyer, Jofra Archer, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Akash Madhwal/Tushar Deshpande, Sandeep Sharma
Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudarshan, Jos Buttler (wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar, Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma
