However, it did not stop the onslaught from the batters as the Aussie pacer was welcomed with a couple of fours on the first two deliveries. There was a moment of madness from Jaiswal, which could have led him to being run out on the very next delivery. He collected another four in the over with a deft touch, splitting the fielders in the 30-yard circle.

Punjab Kings have been hit pretty hard by the player unavailability issues. There is still no word about whether Marcus Stoinis and Josh Inglis will be joining the team or not. Marco Jansen is also expected to leave PBKS during the playoffs. Mitchell Owen, who had been named Glenn Maxwell’s replacement before the suspension of the IPL, has joined the team. However, the Australian power-hitter is a top-order batter, and it will be interesting to see where Ricky Ponting and Shreyas Iyer will fit him if he gets a game.
Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, still have three of their four starting overseas players among the ranks. Only Jofra Archer, who injured his thumb against the Kolkata Knight Riders, will be missing the remaining games. The big positive for the Royals is that their skipper, Sanju Samson, could be returning to the side. It has been a pretty stop-start season for the wicketkeeper batter. He played the first three games as an impact player and did not captain the side. He returned to the team for a few games before injuring himself once again. However, it is yet to be known whether Samson will be fully fit and back as a captain.
