Maheesh Theekshana is a right-arm off-break bowler and occasionally a right-handed batter. 24-year-old Theekshana is known for his unique bowling style, reminiscent of the great Sri Lankan Ajantha Mendis. His spin variations deceived batsmen with his carrom ball as a Googly, earning him a title as a mystery spinner. Maheesh Theekshana IPL Debut 

In the 2022 IPL season, Maheesh Theekshana made his IPL debut with Chennai Super Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 15th April at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. In his first match, Maheesh Theekshana delivered 4 overs while giving away 31 runs at a 7.80 economy rate. However, he bounced back from his bad form in the second match against RCB, scalping 4 wickets at 33 runs at the very same ground in Mumbai.

Debuted in 2022, Maheesh Theekshana became the youngest IPL bowler with a 4-wicket haul in his second match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, achieving the milestone at 21 years and 255 days. The RR decided on the back of his monumental performance of 17 wickets, which helped Barbados Royals (BR) to reach Qualifier 2 in CPL 2024. The Rajasthan Royals is the second Royals franchise team after the BR in the T20 leagues.
