IPL 2025 will kick off at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on the 22nd of March and the final will be played at the same venue on the 25th of May. The marquee T20 tournament will be played across 65 days and feature as many as 12 double-headers. The double-headers are days when two IPL games are played, one in the afternoon and the second at night.

The 10 teams will play their games in IPL 2025 across 13 venues. Apart from the 10 venues in the respective home cities, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings will play some of their games in their second home ground.

The 10 IPL teams are spread across two groups which has a high impact on the overall standings. These teams are divided into groups in order to decide which teams will play each other twice or once. 

In this instance, KKR placed in Group 1 will play the other four Group 1 teams and SRH twice. KKR will play the rest four teams from the opposite group only once.

Defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on the opening night of the IPL 2025. Interestingly the two teams kicked IPL in the inaugural season as well in 2008. Brendon McCullum blasted 158 which ignited the rivalry between the two sides. Nine years another chapter was added to the conflict between the two sides as RCB was bowled out for 49 runs which is the lowest ever team total.
