For this one, Vanga was seen as a director who plays his own part in the ad that made its other personnel alike when he directed Dhoni to play opposite him with a grin from ear to ear like one of his craziest Dhoni fan meets habits: “Bah! Mind-blowing, fantastic, maza aa gaya sir! People will whistle for this!”
The character which was portrayed by Dhoni, then still, and staying thus, mocks Vanga back, of course, remembering the very line that belongs to Ranbir, “Sunai de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hu main” (I can hear you, I’m not deaf). The tone of the delivery of the line was so irate that it could have fitted into Vanga's next film or winning an Oscar. The director, who obviously was creatively awash, confirms, “Ab hua na mera hero ready!” (Now my hero’s ready!). A cup of coffee would be the perfect shot for this guy—he’s just too excited to be.
Things are getting over the top when Dhoni rides a bike with the dramatic mullet and then he stops and asks, “Sandy, yeh thoda zyada nahi ho gaya?” (Isn’t this a bit much?). Vanga, unfazed, goes on with his promise of an even wackier next shot. And the last scene? Dhoni simply recreates black-and-white climax from Animal, looking straight at the camera as if he is going to close a cricket match in the final over. Spoiler: It’s still an ad for an e-cycle, not a blood-soaked revenge saga. Or is it?
X can't help but be thrilled with the new movie featuring Dhoni. Part of his fanbase has labeled it “Dhoni’s Bollywood debut.” One of the users makes fun of the regular Bollywood actor, “Ranbir who? Thala just stole the show!” Another cleverly mentioned “Vanga’s next film: CSK Animal—Dhoni vs. MI, no rules, just vibes.” I bet the meme coins are being minted as we speak.
Dhoni in real life, however, is getting ready for his 18th season in the IPL with Chennai Super Kings, proving at 43 that he still has the stamina to bat for hours and now, play the role of a gangster on a bike. Vanga, on the other hand, may well be his inspiration. Apologies, Ranbir, but Captain Cool is driving the bus and the internet is taking a shotgun seat. Stay running thin on it, this collab is still too much to end with.
