However, he did not receive a great deal of support from the opposite end with skipper, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag scoring only 45 runs in 41 balls. Their knocks meant that Jaiswal had to do most of the heavy lifting before a cameo from Dhruv Jurel.

Batting in the scorching heat in Jaipur, the left-handed batter made the RCB bowlers and fielders toil hard at the Sawai Maan Singh Stadium. Dhruv Jurel provided the finishing touch to the first innings after being dropped by Virat Kohli when he was going at a run-a-ball rate.
