As per the discussions in the meeting, SRH presented strict provisions of the existing tri-party agreement between SRH, HCA, and BCCI, ensuring that 10% of the available stadium capacity across all sections is distributed accordingly. HCA, in response, presented "maintaining the existing allocation of passes in each category, in line with the long-standing practice followed over the years,”.
Considering the arrangement with HCA, Srinath stated: “For several years, HCA has been allocated 50 complimentary tickets (F12A box) as a part of the 3,900 complimentary tickets. HCA has confirmed to SRH that they will completely and professionally cooperate with SRH.
HCA and SRH remain committed to working together constantly to intensify the spectator experience at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
The matter to be considered is that the HCA representatives secured a box on the day of the SRH-LSG match on Thursday. “Please note that we pay the appropriate rent for the stadium, and during the tenure of the IPL, the stadium is under our jurisdiction. However, in the last match, you locked the F3 box and refused to open it unless 20 extra tickets were given to you. This unprofessional behaviour creates a toxic environment, making cooperation increasingly difficult, “ he stated.
Furthermore, we must understand that this is not the first instance of such accusation, threats from HCA to our staff in the last two years. The HCA president has previously issued many threats this year, and it was brought to HCA’s notice,” the mail highlights.
“The secretary is trying to prevent an escalation. He is working on resolving the issue gracefully, but it remains to be seen how the president responds to the crisis, “ HCA sources added.
