The recent form of both the teams is not promising and this match will give opportunity to both the teams to do the correction in their current form. Lucknow have two wins in their last five matches while Mumbai just have one win in the last game.
The pitch at BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow is a two paced wicket in most of the matches. There is help for the seamers in the first innings’ powerplay and as we show Punjab chased down the total against Lucknow Super Giants easily indicating this pitch gets better in the second innings.

In the six matches played between these two sides, Mumbai Indians could only win one match while Lucknow destroyed Mumbai Indians with five wins. MI will want to change this record in this match.

Rohit Sharma has scored 46 runs from 37 balls against Ravi Bishnoi and got out 3 times. His strike rate is 124.3, with 6 fours and 1 six. His best strike rate came in 2024, scoring 12 runs off 6 balls.
Aiden Markram has made 22 runs from 15 balls against Trent Boult and got out once. His strike rate is 146.7, with 4 fours. He struggled in 2024, getting out for 1 run off 2 balls.
Suryakumar Yadav has scored 39 runs from 32 balls against Ravi Bishnoi and got out 3 times. His strike rate is 121.9, with 4 fours. His highest score was 16 runs off 12 balls in 2023, but he got out twice in 2021.
Nicholas Pooran is the orange cap holder this season with 189 runs in just three games with an average of 63.00, his personal best is 75 runs against Delhi Capitals in the very first match. Whenever Pooran bats he makes batting look very easy with his smooth shot making.
Shardul Thakur was not picked up by any IPL team in IPL auction 2025 but he was added by LSG as an injury replacement for Mohsin Khan. Shardul took the opportunity with both hands and took six wickets so far in three matches. He can also bat for the team which makes him a clear player choice in this match.
Suryakumar Yadav was out of form since the England T20I series where he captained the Indian team for a five match T20I series. He was struggling to get past even 10 runs. His drought of runs was his best friend up until the last match at Wankhede. In the last match Suryakumar Yadav scored a quickfire 27 runs in just nine balls including three fours and two sixes.
Hardik Pandya brought a fresh air in Mumbai Indian’s camp after missing the first match due to a ban. He made an impact in the very first match with the ball, picking up two wickets and then followed that up with one crucial wicket in the last match against KKR while he didn’t get a chance to bat.
Will Jacks is finding his rhythm in this season but slowly he’ll adjust to the conditions and start scoring runs. This match is in Lucknow where finger spinners are important to have in your fantasy teams. He can bowl a few overs against the left handers of Lucknow Super Giants. His ability to bowl and bat in the top order makes him an important pick in this match.
Ayush Badoni scored 41 runs off 33 balls in the last match at Ekana Stadium. Badoni has been playing in Lucknow since the first season which allows him to assist the conditions better. He knows how to score runs in Lucknow’s home ground and he is a must pick for Lucknow Super Giants' home matches.
Robin Minz was included in the playing 11 in the first match and got his chance to impress but he failed. Then he got an opportunity as a substitute player against Gujarat Giants and he disappointed again in that match. Now he has to warn the bench for the rest of the season until Ryan Rickelton is unfit to keep behind the wickets.
Himmat Singh is a promising star of India but his place in the 11 is a tough chance. He is a top order batter who has been seen sitting in the bench as an impact player but he will only be needed if LSG's batting order collapses in some match.
