Avesh Khan defended 22 runs off the last over to seal the win for Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs.

11:07 PM: Avesh Khan picks up the big wicket
 

Mumbai Indians are at 164/4 after 17 overs. Need 40 runs in 18 balls. Tilak: 22* (20), Hardik: 6* (3) 
 

Avesh Khan bowling the 17th over picked up the crucial wicket of Suryakumar Yadav. He had scored 67 runs in only 43 balls to set up the chase. He was playing a trademark flick shot over the fine leg region but could not get the right connection and even fell down while playing the shot.

10:56 PM: LSG bowls a couple of cheap overs
 

Mumbai Indians are at 143/3 after 15 overs. Need 61 runs in 30 balls. Suryakumar: 61* (38), Tilak: 14* (16)
 

The last two overs have been pretty great for the hosts. Ravi Bishnoi bowled the 14th over which went for eight runs. Akash Deep bowling the 15th over went for 10 runs. With Suryakumar still at the crease, MI will still be the favorite to chase down the target. 

10:44 PM: Shardul bowls inconsistent lines
 

Mumbai Indians are at 125/3 after 13 overs. Need 79 runs in 42 balls. Suryakumar: 46* (29), Tilak: 12* (13)
 

After Digvesh bowled a cheap two-run over, Shardul Thakur broke the momentum in the following over. The right-arm medium pacer conceded 12 runs in the over and bowled two wides as well.

10:36 PM: Avesh bowls an expensive over while Digvesh continues to shine
 

Mumbai Indians are at 113/3 after 12 overs. Need 91 runs in 48 balls. Suryakumar: 38* (25), Tilak: 10* (11)
 

Avesh Khan destroyed the disciplined bowling LSG had done in the past couple of overs. The right-arm pacer went for 10 runs and was hit for a couple of boundaries. However, from the opposite end, Digvesh Rathi has bowled with great control. He has bowled three overs so far and is yet to concede a boundary. Bowling the 12th over, the tall leg spinner conceded only two runs in his six balls. 

10:24 PM: Break in play brings in a wicket
 

Mumbai Indians are at 89/3 after 9 overs. Need 115 runs in 66 balls. Suryakumar: 22* (15), Tilak: 2* (3)

The strategic timeout was taken by LSG after eight overs. The break in play allowed the hosts to regroup and pick the important wicket of Naman Dhir. It was once again Digvesh Rathi who took the important wicket. The tall leg-spinner has been the most consistent bowler for the Rishabh Pant-led side in the four games.

10:17 PM: Naman and Surya power MI to a great stage
 

Mumbai Indians are at 86/2 after 8 overs. Need 118 runs in 72 balls. Naman: 46* (23), Suryakumar: 21* (13)

Mumbai Indians thanks to some poor bowling coupled with a similar level of fielding have maintained a positive run rate. While Naman Dhir is striking at a rate of 200, Suryakumar Yadav too is going at a similar pace. They have scored 69 runs for the third wicket in only 34 balls. 

10:04 PM: MI is ahead of the asking rate in the powerplay
 

Mumbai Indians are at 64/2 after 6 overs. Need 140 runs in 14 overs. Naman: 35* (15), Suryakumar: 10* (9)
 

Mumbai Indians after losing their openers in the first half of the powerplay have taken firm control of the match. Naman Dhir after being promoted to number three is playing a blinder of a knock. The young batter has scored 35 runs in only 15 deliveries.

9:54 PM: Naman races to 30 
 

Mumbai Indians are at 46/2 after 4 overs. Need 158 runs in 16 overs. Naman: 30* (9), Suryakumar: 1* (3)
 

Akash Deep bowling his second over was taken to the cleaners by Naman Dhir. The right-handed batter struck two sixes and two fours on the first four balls as he raced to 30 runs in only nine balls. 

9:49 PM: Second wicket falls for MI
 

Mumbai Indians are at 25/2 after 3 overs. Need 179 runs in 17 overs. Naman: 9* (4), Suryakumar: 1* (2)
 

Mumbai Indians has lost both of its openers in quick succession in pursuit of this high chase. Thakur bowling his second over picked up Ryan Rickelton’s wicket.

9:42 PM: Akash Deep strikes in his first over
 

Mumbai Indians are at 13/1 after 2 overs. Need 191 runs in 18 overs. Rickelton: 6* (3), Naman: 2* (2)

Akash Deep returning from a back injury created a huge impact in his first over. The right-arm pacer bowled tight lines and lengths and accounted for Will Jacks’ wicket with his fourth delivery. 
 

Naman Dhir was handed a promotion in the batting order ahead of the likes of Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav. 

9:16 PM: MI needs 204 runs to win 
 

Lucknow Super Giants end with a score of 203 runs. The hosts were helped by its opening batters, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram. The two overseas batters struck fifties. For Mumbai Indians, it was their skipper who bowled fantastically to create the most impact with the ball in hand. Hardik Pandya recorded his best bowling figures in T20 cricket by picking up a five-wicket haul. 

Ayush Badoni and David Miller batting down the order played a couple of quickfire knocks while Rishabh Pant played another disappointing innings coming in at number four. 

With Rohit Sharma missing this match, Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton would be under extreme pressure. Can the visitors chase this target on a tricky black soil pitch?

Hardik Pandya coming on to bowl his this over exuded great control. The MI skipper used his experience to outfox Aiden Markram. He bowled a short-pitched delivery outside off to entice Markram to smash a boundary. Pressure was created on the South African batter with the first four balls of the over going for only five runs. 

8:53 PM: Badoni departs after playing a great knock
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 159/4 after 16 overs. Markram: 49* (33), Miller: 1* (1) 
 

Ayush Badoni is doing what was expected of Rishabh Pant. The right-handed batter played a quickfire knock of 30 runs in only 19 deliveries. Ashwani Kumar after being expensive in his first two overs came back into the attack in the 16th over and dismissed the middle-order batter.

8:46 PM: How much can LSG end up with?
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 146/3 after 15 overs. Markram: 42* (30), Badoni: 26* (17) 
 

Lucknow Super Giants courtesy of Ayush Badoni has blasted all cylinders in the last couple of overs. Santner bowling the 14th over was smashed for three fours on the trot. Deepak Chahar came on to bowl the 15th over. Even though, the right-arm pacer did not concede a single boundary in the over it still went for eight tuns.

8:36 PM: Vignesh bowls another quiet over
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 123/3 after 13 overs. Markram: 39* (26), Badoni: 6* (9) 
 

Vignesh Puthur has been pretty impressive with the ball in hand. The young left-arm wrist spinner has only conceded 22 runs in his first over. While Hardik has picked up two wickets in the match so far, Vignesh has been the most consistent bowler in the first innings for the five-time champions.

8:25 PM: Pant’s horrific run with the bat continues in IPL 2025
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 108/3 after 11 overs. Markram: 30* (21), Badoni: 0* (2) 

Rishabh Pant’s disastrous IPL season continues with the most expensive player in the IPL making only two runs in six balls against Mumbai Indians. He has yet to register a worthwhile score in the season. After tonight’s knock, the left-handed batter has accumulated only 17 runs in four innings. 

8:19 PM: LSG slightly ahead at the halfway mark

Lucknow Super Giants are at 100/2 after 10 overs. Markram: 23* (19), Pant: 2* (4) 
 

The hosts, Lucknow Super Giants are slightly ahead of their opponents at the halfway mark. Even though they have lost their two best batters, Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, LSG still has managed to score 100 runs in the first 10 overs.

8:15 PM: Skipper Pandya dismisses Pooran

Skipper, Hardik Pandya bowling his first over picked up the dangerous-looking Nicholas Pooran. Pooran who had the Orange Cap on his head was dismissed early in the innings. LSG is now in a spot of bother. 

8:06 PM: Vignesh picks up the first wicket
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 76/1 after 7 overs. Markram: 14* (11) 
 

Left-arm wrist spinner after impressing on his debut against Chennai Super Kings picked up the big wicket of Mitchell Marsh. The youngster dismissed Marsh in his first over itself breaking the opening stand.

7:58 PM: Marsh completes a fine half-century

Lucknow Super Giants are at 69/0 after 6 overs. Marsh: 60* (30), Markram: 7* (6) 
 

Mitchell Marsh has unarguably hogged the strike in the powerplay. However, he has made the most of the 30 balls he faced in the first six overs. The Australian batter completed his fifty in only 27 balls. He has already smashed 10 fours and two sixes in the innings. Markram on the other end has only faced six balls and scored seven runs. 

7:49 PM: Ashwani bowls a good controlling over
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 35/0 after 4 overs. Marsh: 28* (19), Markram: 6* (5) 
 

After the second and third overs went for 26 runs, Ashwani Kumar playing only his second game in the IPL bowled an impressive first over. The young Indian pacer conceded only three runs in his first over to keep the LSG momentum in check.

7:39 PM: Marsh makes the most of his second life
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 21/0 after 2 overs. Marsh: 15* (10), Markram: 5* (2) 
 

Replays in the second over showed that Mitchell Marsh had edged one behind to the wicketkeeper in the first over. However, both Trent Boult and wicketkeeper, Ryan Rickelton did not appeal. Since the replay was shown, Marsh has struck two fours in three balls against Deepak Chahar.

7:35 PM: Movement in the air for Boult
 

Lucknow Super Giants are at 6/0 after 1 over. Marsh: 6* (6), Markram: 0* (0) 
 

Trent Boult bowling the first over found some movement against Mitchell Marsh. The right-handed batter struck a straight drive but failed to make contact with the ball in the later part of the over.
