Gujarat Titans have put on a great display of batsmanship courtesy of their two opening batters. Both Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan remained not out and almost timed the chase in such a manner that they could reach their respective tons. However, at the end, it was Sudharsan who scored a hundred while Gill remained not out with a score of 93 runs.

Mustafizur Rahman, playing his first game, gave away only six runs off his first over.

Delhi Capitals, after starting the first innings on a horrific note, ended by almost breaching the 200-run mark and scored 199 runs. The hosts have KL Rahul to thank for that score, as the right-handed batter top-scored with a century. He scored his fifth century in the IPL and became the first right-handed batter to hit a hundred this season.

Finally, Shubman Gill brought back a pacer into the attack. Prasidh Krishna came on to bowl the 17th over and picked up a wicket with his second delivery of the over. Sai Kishore, bowling his second, was hit for three fours on the trot. Interestingly, all three of the fours came on some good deliveries. The third four came thanks to an edge.
