Before moving to England, Jofra Archer represented the West Indies Under-19 in 2014. Archer is one of the fastest bowlers who delivers the ball at a 150+ speed with a significant line and length. In 2018, Jofra Archer made his IPL debut with the Rajasthan Royals against the Mumbai Indians on 22nd April at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In his first IPL match, Jofra Archer picked up 3 wickets while conceding 22 runs at a 5.50 economy rate. Archer delivered 4 overs and dismissed Mumbai Indians' key players, including Mitchell McClenaghan, Pandya brothers Krunal and Hardik.

Formidable bowler Jofra Archer has left an impact with his feared pace and wicket-taking capabilities in his starting IPL seasons. Jofra Archer started his IPL adventure with RR in 2018. Despite his team finishing at the bottom, Jofra Archer gave his best and won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2020. Unfortunately, his impeccable IPL career was interrupted by injuries, and he missed out on the following season.

Skillful bowler Jofra Archer has played for only two IPL teams- the Rajasthan Royals and the Mumbai Indians in his IPL career. He made his IPL debut with the Rajasthan Royals in 2018 and stayed until 2020. He made his IPL comeback with the Mumbai Indians in 2022 and stayed until 2023. Again missing out on his 2024 IPL season due to an injury, Jofra Archer transferred to his previous IPL team Rajasthan Royals in 2025.

In 2018, the Rajasthan franchise bought Jofra Archer’s services for the price of Rs 7.20 crore. A silky fast bowler, Archer, played for the franchise until the 2020 season for the same IPL salary. In 2021, Jofra Archer was ruled out of the tournament due to his elbow and back injuries and faced a setback for that IPL season. He made a comeback with Mumbai Paltan in 2022. He moved to the Mumbai Indians team for an IPL salary of Rs 8 crore. After his 2-year stint with Mumbai, his former IPL team Rajasthan Royals, bagged him again for the whopping amount of Rs 12.50 crore in the 2025 IPL season.
