  • Hardik Pandya- Though Hardik Pandya’s team is performing quite well but his performance with the bat is blowing hot and cold. Beside all the on field performances, Hardik was fined for slow over rate during the away match of Mumbai Indians against the Gujarat Titans. Captain Hardik was fined Rs 12 lakhs in that match. Earlier Pandya even had to miss the first match of Mumbai Indians against the Chennai Super Kings after the slow over rate of MI in their last match of 2024 season. Though the Qualifier 2 match started late, Hardik Pandya was again fined for slow over rate against the Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2. Hardik has committed this offence for the third time so he was fined for INR 30 lakh and rest of the MI players were fined for INR 12 lakh.

  • Riyan Parag- Rajasthan Royals had a forgettable season in this 2025 IPL where none of their team strategies worked. Their performance lacked the winning mindset. The regular captain Sanju Samson was injured for several games. And Riyan Parag had to take up the captaincy. In the 11th match of the IPL, Riyan Parag was fined Rs 12 lakhs for maintaining the slow over rate in the match against Chennai Super Kings at their home ground Guwahati in Assam. 

  • Rishabh Pant- Nothing is going right for Rishabh Pant and his team Lucknow Super Giants as LSG ended up in the seventh position with only twelve points. After the high level of expectations from their owner Mr Sanjeev Goenka and even from their fans, Lucknow couldn’t achieve much. Even in the over rate issues, Rishabh has no luck. In Match number sixteen against Mumbai Indians, Rishabh was fined Rs 12 lakh. Then again in match number forty five again against the Mumbai Indians, Pant was fined Rs 24 lakhs. Then in the final match of Lucknow Super Giants against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru when again for the third time, Pant was banned for a slow over rate of Rs 30 lakhs and the impact players of LSG were also fined for Rs 12 lakhs.

  • Rajat Patidar- Rajat Patidar’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru is having a dream season in this IPL 2025. Rajat, appointed as the captain of RCB for the first time, is doing an exceptional job so far. RCB is currently sitting second in the points table with 19 points after beating the Lucknow Super Giants in a stunning run chase. In the match number twenty one against the Mumbai Indians, Rajat Patidar was fined for slow over rate. He was fined Rs 12 lakhs. This was the first fine for Rajat in this season.

  • Sanju Samson- Sanju Samson too had a forgettable season in this IPL. Before the IPL, RR had a blunderous auction where they had let go the likes of Jos Buttler and Yuzi Chahal. And in the IPL 2025, RR had to make amends for their blunder. None of the players performed as they would have liked in this 2025 IPL season. In the match number twenty three against the Gujarat Titans Sanju Samson was fined for Rs 24 lakhs as this was the second offence of Rajasthan Royals and in the end the rest of the team was fined for Rs 6 lakhs. 

     

  • Shreyas Iyer- This is the second time, Shreyas Iyer led PBKS is fined for the slow over rate. Earlier Shreyas was fined in the match 49 against the CSK in Chepauk. As this is Iyer’s second such offence, he was fined for INR 24 lakh in the Qualifier 2.

Digvesh Rathi, the spinner of the Lucknow Super Giants has been exceptional with the ball having picked up 14 wickets in his debut IPL. But his notebook celebration after taking a wicket is costing him and his owner a small amount of money. Rathi was fined 25 percent of his match fee against the Punjab Kings in match number 13 where he had done a signing notebook celebration after dismissing the Punjab opener Priyansh Arya. Then again for the second consecutive time, Rathi was fined 50 percent of his match fees in the match number 16. Then again in match number 61, Rathi was fined 50 percent of the match fees against the SRH.

2. Ishant Sharma-

Ishant Sharma is in the later stage of his career where he is doing quite a decent job for the Gujarat Titans. Leave aside one year, the Gujarat Titans has been one of the most consistent teams in the IPL. In the match nineteen, Pacer Ishant Sharma was fined 25 percent of his match fees where he also got one Demerit Point for breaching the IPL code of conduct against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

3. Glenn Maxwell- 

Punjab Kings is having an excellent season under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer and coach Ricky Ponting. Their opening batters are doing exceptionally well to lay down the platform for the rest of the middle order batsmen. From the likes of Shreyas Iyer to Marcus Stoinis, most of the batters are clicking at the right time. But the Aussie all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, as expected, is having a season to forget. In the 22nd match against the Chennai Super Kings, Maxwell was fined 25 percent of his match fees and got one Demerit Point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.   

4. Munaf Patel 

In cricket matches especially in the IPL, often the cricketers on the field get sanctioned for different activities. But in this case interestingly, the bowling coach of Delhi Capitals Munaf Patel was fined 25 percent of his match fees and Munaf too got a demerit point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct in their home match against Rajasthan Royals.

5. Ashish Nehra

In this case too, one support staff member was fined. In the 56th match against the Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra was fined 25 percent of his match fee and he has also got a demerit point under the Level 1 offence in Article 2.20. At the end of the match Ashish Nehra accepted the decision.
