The type of announcement made by the Pakistan Cricket Board shows that many young players are being seen in the Squad. There are two players, Salman Mirza and Ahmed Daniya, who are yet to make their debut in international cricket for Pakistan. Moreover, there are 7 players, including captain Salman Agha, who have played less than 20 T20 matches for Pakistan so far. However, most of these players had given excellent performances in the Pakistan Super League (PSL)2025, as a reward for which they have been given a place in the national team.
Abbas Afridi became the fourth-highest wicket-taker in PSL 2025. Salman Mirza also performed tremendously, taking 9 wickets for Lahore Qalandars in four matches. Although this team has experienced young players like Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Talat, Khushdil Shah, and Saim Ayub, who have won many matches for Pakistan single-handedly on their own. But still, the lack of experience in international cricket is visible in this team.
Pakistan cricket is currently undergoing a period of change, aiming to prepare as many young players as possible for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The team is also attempting to remove players who cannot bat with a better strike rate in T20S. Now, like Pakistan's last two T20 series, for this series too, star cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not been included in the squad again. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board did not clarify whether these cricketers have been dropped from the team or expelled due to any injury. Moreover, star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has also not been included in the T20 squad for the upcoming Bangladesh tour.
Apart from this, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf, who were part of the last T20 series, are not included in the squad for the Bangladesh tour. However, regarding the status of these two players, it has been officially stated that Shadab Khan has not been included in the team due to undergoing right shoulder surgery, which is currently in a recovery period. Similarly, Haris Rauf also got a hamstring injury while playing a match of MLC 2025, due to which he could not even play the play-off matches for San Francisco Unicorns.
