The Asia Cup 2025 is going to start from 9th September, and the Indian team will start its campaign against the UAE on 10th September. So it is very difficult to say whether Rishabh Pant will be able to recover so soon, and he may also miss the Asia Cup 2025 and the West Indies tour of India, which is immediately after the Asia Cup. However, if everything goes well, he will probably recover by the last week of October. The Indian team will probably have to face Pakistan three times in the Asia Cup 2025 if both teams qualify for the final. In such a situation, the Indian team will definitely miss a good player like Rishabh Pant in the team. However, most probably, he will be sent to the NCA's rehab centre, where attention will be paid to his recovery, and efforts will be made to get him back on the field as soon as possible.

After the heated exchange during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, England pacer Chris Woakes revealed a friendly and poignant conversation with Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, when both cricketers suffered injuries during the Test series. Speaking to The Guardian, Woakes shared the story behind his conversation. "I saw Rishabh had posted a picture of me on Instagram with a salute emoji, so I replied, thanking him: 'Thanks for the love and hope your foot is okay,' and so on," Woakes recalled. He added, “Then he sent me a voice note that said: ‘Hope everything goes well, best of luck with your recovery, and hopefully we’ll meet up there again someday.’ I apologised for the broken leg.” Pant's message underlined the mutual admiration and sportsmanship between the two, despite their fierce rivalries on the field.
Before the injury, Rishabh Pant performed brilliantly in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. He played a total of 4 matches during the series in which he scored 479 runs in 7 innings at an impressive average of 68.42.
