 Built in 2017, the Ekana International Cricket Stadium became the 52nd  cricket ground in the country. It was renamed after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and is now known as Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, aka BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium. Situated outside Lucknow, to the South of the Gomti River in Ekana Sports City, the stadium has been built on 71 acres. With 50,000 seating capacity, Ekana is one of the biggest venues in the country. Since it is still a fresh venue, only a handful of matches have been played at Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium.
