Ollie Pope made the most stumpings in BBL 2024/25. The 27-year-old made three stumpings in the season. The English batter playing for the Adelaide Strikers was available for nine matches and still managed to create the record. Tim Seifert was the only other wicketkeeper to make multiple stumpings in the season. The Kiwi wicketkeeper made two stumpings in 10 games for the Melbourne Renegades.
Sam Billings, Matty Hurst, Finn Allen, Tom Alsop, and Alex Carey were the other five wicketkeepers to make a stumping each in the season.

Sam Harper has the 5th most stumpings in the Big Bash League. Harper has made 10 stumpings in the Big Bash League. The Victoria-born wicketkeeper has been part of both Melbourne teams in the tournament. However, Harper has played more matches for the Renegades in comparison to the Stars where he currently plays.
Harper’s most impressive season when it comes to stumpings came in 2018/19 and 2020/21. In both seasons the right-handed batter-keeper made three stumpings each. With the bat in hand, Harper’s form has been wayward, especially in the last season where made 27 runs in five innings.
Peter Handscomb has the 4th highest stumpings in the BBL. The veteran wicketkeeper-batter has made 11 stumpings in his BBL career so far. Handscomb unlike most other players on this list is not a regular wicketkeeper. He regularly plays in respective teams as a pure batter. The team combination sometimes means that he has to don the gloves behind the stumps.
Handscomb has been a trustworthy keeper all through his career. However, in the past three seasons, the Australian was selected for his batting and did not make much of an impact with the gloves in hand. Playing for the Melbourne Stars in the ongoing season, Handscomb has already made his presence felt with three catches and a stumping in three matches. The right-handed batter made three stumpings in 2015/16 which was the most he had made in a single season.

Josh Philippe has the 3rd most stumpings in the BBL. The 27-year-old has 14 stumpings to his name in the marquee T20 league. Philippe is known for his batting prowess and for a long while was regarded as one of the best batting talents in the country. However, he has been unable to retain the same level of form in the limited chances he has got to represent Australia. His strike rate of 137.4 has meant that Philippe commands a place in the starting XI on his batting alone.
His accuracy behind the stumps makes him an invaluable player in T20 leagues all around the world. Philippe’s most impressive season in the tournament came in 2021/22 when he made five stumpings. Courtesy of his consistency behind the stumps, the Sixers finished as the runner-up in the tournament. In 2019/20, Philippe made four stumpings as the Sixers won the trophy.
Josh Inglis has the 2nd most stumpings in the Big Bash League. The 29-year-old has made 16 stumpings in the tournament so far. Inglis’ keeping and the improvement in his batting has meant that the Perth Scorchers gloveman has become a regular in the Australian national side. He has already overtaken Alex Carey in white-ball teams and is part of the test team as a backup wicketkeeper. He is one of the players who can strike at a high rate without really compromising his average.
Inglis’ most impressive season in the BBL came in 2019/20 and 2021/22. In both seasons the Scorchers’ wicketkeeper made four stumpings. The five-time champions finished sixth in 2019/20, meanwhile, they won their fourth title in 2021/22.
Jimmy Peirson has the most stumpings in the BBL. The New South Welshman has caught batters out of their crease on 17 occasions. Peirson is one of the very few players who have played for only one team throughout their career. The 32-year-old has played 111 matches for the Brisbane Heat so far. Peirson unlike his other contemporaries is an old-school wicketkeeper and is picked in the Heat’s playing XI mostly because of his keeping skills.
In spite of playing 111 matches, Peirson has not been able to make a name for himself with the bat in hand. His best season in the Big Bash League in terms of stumpings came in 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2019/20. In the three seasons, the player with the highest stumpings in the tournament made three stumpings each.
