Aussie bowler Pat Cummins is right-armed fast bowler and a right-handed lower order batter. 32-year-old, Pat Cummins is a renowned pacer from Australia and a captain of the Test and ODI team. Under his leadership Aussies won the 2021–23 ICC World Test Championship and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. Which became his spotlight in the IPL 2024 auction and Pat Cummins became one of the most expensive players for the season with 20.50 crore auction price. In the 2014 IPL season, Pat Cummins made his IPL debut on May 20 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Pat Cummins played his first IPL match for Kolkata Knight Riders against Chennai Super Kings, taking one wicket while conceding 29 runs at a 7.25 economy and delivered 4 overs.

After missing the following season, Pat Cummins returned to his former IPL team, KKR, in 2020 and stayed until 2022. In 2020, Kolkata Knight Riders bought Pat Cummins' services for Rs 15.50 crore, which makes him the most expensive overseas player for the season. And then in 2024, Pat Cummins became one of the most expensive buys when Sunrisers Hyderabad purchased his services for Rs 20.50 crore. As of 2025, Pat Cummins' auction price is Rs 18 crore as he was retained by the franchise.
