In the previous season of the 2024 TNPL, Dindigul Dragons defeated the Kovai Kings in the Final and won by 6 wickets at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. As of 2025, TNCA has successfully organised eight seasons of the TNPL, with the most recent running in its final stage.

Most Fifties in Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 

Hailing from Chennai, Masood Sharukh Khan was the top batter with the most fifties in the 2024 TNPL. M Sharukh slammed four half-centuries while representing Kovai Kings in the tournament. He scored 225 runs from 9 matches with an average of 45.00 and a strike rate of 182.93. M Sharukh bagged a  55 highest score in the season, which is a good score for a lower-order batter.

The ninth season of the 2025 Tamil Nadu Premier League is scheduled to take place from June 5 to July 6, 2025, at multiple venues, including SNR College Cricket Ground, SCF Cricket Ground, Indian Cement Company Ground, and NPR College Ground. Here are the top 10 batsmen with the most fifties in the Tamil Nadu Premier League till now:

Since its inception, the Tamil Nadu Premier League has produced many talented batters, including Sai Sudarshan, Washington Sudarshan, Sai Kishore, Narayan Jagadeesan, and T. Natrajan. The format of the tournament honed the local and Domestic cricketers for the bigger leagues like IPL and International tournaments. Plus, the fans witnessed some entertaining matches with big innings and match-winning finishes. Many batsmen bagged over fifty scores multiple times. But which batsman has slammed the most fifties in the Tamil Nadu Premier League?        
Here are the top five players with the most fifties in the Tamil Nadu Premier League from 2016 to 2025:

1. Narayan Jagadeesan - 21 Half-century

Narayan Jagadeeshan is one of the top batsmen in the Tamil Nadu Premier League history with the most runs, the best strike rate, and the most boundaries and most sixes. Coimbatore’s right-handed opener, Narayan Jagadeesan, is also known for the most fifties in the TNPL history. He has hit 21 half-centuries while scoring 2339 runs from 72 matches with an average of 40.32 and a strike rate of 127.67. His highest score in the tournament is an unbeaten 105 runs. Narayan Jagadeesan was retained by his previous franchise, Chepauk Super Gillies, in the TNPL 2025 season.     

2. Arun Karthik - 16 Half-century

The second batsman with the most half-centuries in the TNPL is Arun Karthik, who has slammed 16 fifties in the tournament to date. The consistent performer Arun Karthik has amassed 2308 runs from 68 matches while averaging 40.49 with a strike rate of 147.94. He is also one of the few batsmen with the best strike rate in TNPL history. Previously played for Siechem Madurai Panthers, Arun Karthik is currently part of the Nellai Royals Kings in the  2025 TNPL. 

3. Baba Aparajith - 16 Half-century

Another best player in the Tamil Nadu Premier League is Baba Aparjith, who is the third batter with the most fifties in the tournament's history.  Hard-hitter Baba Aparjith has bagged 16 half-centuries and one century in the TNPL career to date. He is also one of the top scorers with 2330 runs from 64 matches at a strike rate of 136.73. Known for his huge sixes and boundaries, Baba Aparjith has hit the most sixes of 120 in the TNPL.    

4. Hari Nishaanth - 15 Half-century

Next, we have Hari Nishaanth in the list of top batsmen with the most fifties in the TNPL from 2016 to 2025.  Another seasonal performer, Hari Nishaanth has hit 16 half-centuries while accumulating 1741 runs from 66 matches, maintaining an average of 27.63 at a strike rate of 127.63 to date. Previously played for Madurai Panthers, Hari Nishanth joined Dindigul Dragons in the 2025 TNPL season, scoring 180 runs from 6 innings with a strike rate of 130.43.    

 5. Sai Sudharsan - 13 Half-century

Fifth batter with most fifties in the TNPL is Sai Sudarshan, who has slammed 13 fifties in the tournament history. Sai Sudarshan is one of the top batters with the most runs and the highest individual scorer in TNPL history. To date, Sudarshan has played 31 matches and bagged 1303 runs while averaging 56.65 and a strike rate of 151.33. Since his debut, Sai Sudarshan has been an integral part of the Lyca Kovai Kings and has been retained by the franchise in the 2025 season as well.
