Hailing from Hyderabad, Mohammed Siraj comes from a very humble family. Mohammed Siraj is the son of an autorickshaw driver who started to play cricket at a very early age. 31-year-old Mohammed Siraj is a right-arm pacer who delivers the ball at the speed of 150-plus km/h. He is also a right-handed lower-order batsman. 

Before IPL, Mohammed Siraj represented Hyderabad in Domestic cricket, guiding them to a 2016-2017 quarter-final of the Ranji Trophy, while scalping 41 wickets in nine matches. His consistent performances in Domestic cricket, including the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, led him to his first IPL job with SRH in 2017. Mohammed Siraj is also one of the best seamers India has ever produced across multiple formats like International Test, ODI, and T20 formats. Previously played for RCB, Mohammed Siraj transferred to the Gujarat Titans after being released by the franchise in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. In the 2017 IPL season, Mohammed Siraj made his IPL debut on April 19 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. In his debut match, Mohammed Siraj played for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Delhi Capitals. He delivered 4 overs while conceding 39 runs for 2 wickets at an economy rate of 9.80. He dismissed Sanju Samson and Sam Billings to contribute to the SRH victory by 15 runs.

Mohammed Siraj played his debut season with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017. Despite his reasonable performance, 10 scalps from 6 matches, Hyderabad let go of him in the following season. Here comes the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who bagged Mohammed Siraj in 2018. Siraj stayed with Bengaluru for seven seasons and became their mainstay bowler from 2018 to 2024. As of 2025, Siraj moved to GT, where he made a strong comeback and helped the squad to reach the top of the IPL table.
